Jim Magilton is in line for the Northern Ireland job alongside Ian Dowie and Lawrie Snake in the grass Sanchez. Eventhough he had a very mixed record during his time with Ipswich I certainly wish him well for the future. At least he won't be given any cash to waste on useless players on over inflated fees (Norris, Lisbie, MaCauley).

As for Lawrie Sanchez he will do well to remember that He who wields the knife...Never wears the crown!

I personally hope he does well if he gets the job, there is no doubting his passion for the game if his transfer dealings left a lot to be desired!

lawrie sanchez is of course ripping up trees at barnet...

oh, no he isn't. to hear him talk you'd think he's taken them to promotion to the championship <yikes>

as for magilton, i'd imagine he'd do a good job. did pretty well with you guys until he had money to throw about the place. as with worthington, a fairly steady manager but with the NI squad i fail to see how anything other than miserable failure can be achieved. he's got to be a better shout than dowie though surely! i mean, i'm a better shout than dowie!!

its a job thats really isnt worth the agro surely?
There squad is made up of reserves, league of Ireland and league 2 players and they expected to qualify. Surely it was never really likely. Their striking options are David Healy (who is ****e and has been for the past 4 or 5 seasons, Warren Feeney (who hasnt scored in his last 20 odd internationals) and Kyle Lafferty (who until this season has been beyound useless for Rangers)
They just dont have the talent pool to be a force currently.

I'd love to see him get the nod, I'm sure he'd do a fine job at getting the passion into the players. I'd think Sanchez will get the nod though; he did a great job last time for them.
