One of my favourite Sunderland goals. Nicely worked, neat lay-off to Sessegnon, and he knew exactly what he wanted to do, round the back of the defence but stayed tight to them to remain onside, found a gap and received. I always wondered why Sunderland didn't get more out of Ji. I thought he had more of this showing in him.
Sunderland's very good at not getting more out of a lot of players Relic. Recently we've become very good at it!
Hiya, mate. Happy new year to you. Funnily enough, just ten minutes ago I was talking to a life-long Leeds supporter and he was raving about ... Bridcutt! He's looking brilliant down there apparently.
Happy New Year to you too mate. Sounds to me like your Leeds mate is still pissed from last night. He's probably right though, Brid's found his level.
Championship is massively different to the Prem though, a 31-year-old Daryl Murphy was top scorer last season . Brid had plenty of chances in the Prem and clearly couldn't hack it.
Yes, but Bridcutt, Murphy, and Ji are three. Are we consistently buying badly or consistently using badly? There's still an argument about using Altidore as a copycat 'Lofthouse' y'know. And about using a proven good left winger like Muntari as a central midfielder. Who really is to blame here - Margaret friggin' Byrne or somebody?
