He'll bring a lot of......shirt sales!. I dont really get what all the fuss is about this 'marquee' signing, etc?. Ok,hes a decent player but we all know he is a shirt seller!.I think he looked good playing with the likes of Ronaldo,Evra,Nani,Rooney.

Rubbish. Prior to last season when he spent a lot of money on Young, Fergie played him out wide (his regular position) and used him as a player he knew he could get a performance out of - especially in the big games. He'll be big for is in more than just the club shop.

j.s.park took a role of defensive part because other players are fond of attacking like Nani, Rolado..
Fuggy needed a player good at deffense.
on the other hands, he took a aggresive role in south korea captain and PSV No7.
Search jisungpark's special. i m sure you will love it.
First time he went to ManU, he was estimated as shirt seller.
    but now?
who says he is shirt seller in ManU?
Nobody in ManU fans tell him shirt seller.
i think he will take more aggresive part of qpr than in ManU.
you will see Aggressive version of Park.
he will bring a lot than you expect to.
i hope after few months, you guys would call Ji Sung Park Ranger!
i m sure he will never let you down.

btw, i read some opinions of Ki.
it seems he is not welcome to qpr as much as Park.
But you know why he was out of squad in Seltic around half of season?
caz he told manager that he wants to go other good team like EPL.
so manager was angry and didnt use him.
but its apparent that he is very talented player.
that's why7M even though this condition. and Liverpool wants him now too.

also search Ki's special then you can see his real ability.!

He is for us, at the moment.

Who were we looking to sign this time two years ago?
Who were we looking to sign this time last year?

Who will we be looking to sign in two years time?:)

If we progress in the Prem, year on year, the signings will get better and better.

At the moment players like Park are the best we can hope to sign. There are better (and younger) players out there, but they won't come until we have progressed a further. Players near the top of the tree won't come unless we can offer European football.

Slowly, but surely, the quality of the team will drawer others to the club. The new stadium is several years away, but that will also be a drawer.

Park is a marquee signing for us because he has played at the very top level, both club and country, for years and is not (quite) past his sell-by date. We will be hard pushed to do much better this year.

    Welcome JSPR. Good post.

I also think that the name Fuggy should be used at every opportunity!

I think QPR fans are very interested in the prospect of Ki coming to Loftus Road. One or two negative views are not representative generally, in my view.

By the way, welcome to the board, JSPR!:emoticon-0100-smile

Well said JSP, Eamon and Goldie.

Ki is exactly the sort of player I would like us to sign - young, huge potential, exciting. Here's hoping.

At least we are in the game now Eamon, massive progress over the recent past. And, like it or not, we are building a brand as well. While I am confident Hughes will be buying on what these blokes offer to the team alone, the 'added benefits' may well influence what we are prepared to offer them.
To suggest we would buy someone simply because of potential shirt sales is, I think, daft.

Love the fact that the word Brand is being used more and more on here as the story unfolds ... TF best we have had at QPR ... Love him but our brand will become the most important thing to him ... Match days are 90 minutes of live intensity... a roulette wheel if i may ... The rest of the time it's business!... soon we, the fans will only be focusing on that 90 minutes while in the background ... mystery!

Eamon's point about feeling sad should be chiseled in granite on this board because unless you are of a balanced open mind ... transformation can hurt. Cardiff Blues to Cardiff Dragons in a blink of an eye.

Park is a very clever purchase for our club and was thought up by TF (watch the interview on QPR player) then MH got on board ... THIS IS FACT

I love Park and hope he does it for us but all of us must shakes our heads violently in the mirror each morning as the journey starts

Park is a great addition. But in terms of attracting talent Cisse remains our marquee player IMO.

JSPR: can you tell us which way round Korean names go. I believe Ji Sung is his family name and Park is his first name. Is that correct?

yes Cisse is better than Park about deciding ability.
but Park's making goal 'chance' ability(assisting ability) for fellow would be better^^
    Park is his family name!
Its very common family name. more than 1/10 of Korean have this family name~
    Ji-sung is his first name.
