last season when he had taken over ,that we needed players who had a bit moore steel about them and who could put there foot in and get the ball so out he went and bought up all the available old players he could trouble with that is ,when they get injured it takes them weeks and months to recover hence the poor results we are getting now ,we have no decent back up players PJ has got himself into a big hole at ipswich and it looks like he has no shovel to get himself out with ,he has realy messed up,i feel sure now the fans will walk away from portman road either till he sorts his own mess out ,leaves ,or buys quality players that can get him and the club out of his mess.
I for one will not be going untill the changes are made ,i just have had enough of this rubbish .

Surely Cresswell's success and the obvious, obvious reality of what Norwich and Saints have done will mean we go and buy some quality from lower leagues in January. I think players like Bullard, Bowyer and Ivar in the squad offer valuable experience but that alone is not enough.

Jewell brought in what he could during his one transfer window. It's not like he only targeted oldies during the summer but he got in what he could, and if you consider the state we were in most would say he did well attracting the players he did. You can't force players to join us so you have to do the business you can.

Does everyone here seriously think that PJ doesn't know he could do with signing some younger players or are you all a much better manager than him and can see the things he can't. Think about it.

A lot of the players Jewell brought in should have those qualities though. You look at their history and what you would expect from them and the likes of Bowyer, Sonko, Collins should all have that steel. The likes of Murphy, Inga and Andrews, whilst not the strongest players should all have more than enough experience and knowledge to cope with a championship season.
When we signed these players I think we would all agree that, on paper at least, they should have added something which we were badly missing last year. Other than Sonko then I think all players should be looking at themselves and questioning what they have added this season. Jewell is most probably as confused as alot of other fans are but it is him who is paid the money to sort it out and a solution is required. Its a case of back to basics for alot of players who really shouldnt require it.

Jewell is completely to blame for this downturn in form. Why the hell is he playing Bullard in the holding midfield role, a player who he has confessed 'gives him heart-attacks'.

The only reason we looked good during our spell of decent results was because Scotland and Edwards were on fire. We could give the ball to Edwards and he would create things and get the ball in box and Scotland was always moving for the ball and holding it up when he got it. For the past few games for whatever reason both players have gone off the boil and so has Cresswell. We have no width and no movement and Jewell should have addressed this problem a lot sooner than half an hour into the game Saturday.

The recipe for success is so fecking obvious in this league that it should be easy for any manager to get promoted if they have the funds. Big man / little man partnership up front plus two good pacey wingers who get balls in the box plus two good hard working midfielders and a team with a never say die attitude. This crap about how we don't have the players to play this was is bollucks. We have Chopra and JET as the big man / little man plus Carson and Martin out wide with Andrews and Leadbitter in centre. Might not be the best team man for man but at least we could complete and score goals and when you can score goals the players feel like it's more worthwhile putting in a shift when we don't have the ball. Whereas now it looks like the are thinking 'what the point in defending properly because we can't score'.

I'm not a fan of Leadbitter but Bullard and Bowyer don't have the legs to play as part of a two man midfield. We either need to play a flat 442 with Andrews and Leaditter or 451 but we must have some width in the team! I think Jewell realises this now but its ridiculous that its taken this long, I've lost a bit of faith in him as a result.
