Why oh why does Jewell start with Tommy Smith at Left Back and pick Sonko at Centre Back? We have Josh Carson who could easily slot in at Left Back! Why pick Murphy ahead of Byron Lawrence? This was a nothing game and would have been an ideal opportunity to see what the youngsters could do! Instead he brings on Bullard!

Jewell you are a clueless twat. Please **** off during the summer and allow someone who knows what they are doing the chance to manage our football team! I have absolutely no confidence in you or your backroom staff. This summer is going to be yet another non-event. Your tactics are just woeful!

I was going to ask why he brought on JB, but I thought you would be too upset to give a reasoned reply! Especially when it's difficult to see what that could entail!

Hope you fare better next year! <ok>

I have to say that it does not make any sense today playing Sonko, to a lesser extent Murphy as well.
One is already released & the other returning back to Celtic tonight. Ainsley left out of squad, Whight only on the bench....all game. jewell says he is angry we did not kill the game off in the 1st half, what is he talking about, I am angry that he has played two plyers today that are now no longer with us.....fool.....

    Same again next season.

We have a ready made replacement for Cresswell but no, we'll play Sonks instead... absolute madness.

Carson is not a left back, from what I've seen he's a liability defensively- nothing wrong with this, he's an attacking, exciting player who can score goals. His defence could improve in the future, but I see no point in putting him in defence, it wouldn't really aid his development. Should've put him in place of Murphy (solid but not a match winner) Could've put Ainsley in the centre in place of Sonko, or Whight out on the left.

Whight at left back was the choice today but jewell bottled it, he is more concerned with not being the manager with the worst league finish for around 50 yrs...!

" We have Josh Carson who could easily slot in at Left Back! "

The same Josh Carson who after the Millwall 3-0 loss was drunk out of his face, arguing with his girlfriend in the street and causing a scene !?

Well played Jewell in NOT bringing that lad on for 1 minute yesterday.

I suppose " johnnywarksmoustache " you'd have happily played him.

    We won - I suppose that isn't down to Jewell's management !?

My " most pointless thread " article you lambasted about finances ( I agree we're in debt but I was stating I'm a lot happier with our wages ) saying it was the most pointless thread is very much eclipsed by this pointless thread by guess who, you!!

I must say Smith at left back surprises me - but can anyone say how he performed ? Any good ?

As for Jo Whight - how did Jewell bottle it exactly ? He's said for the past year the lad has ability, but doesn't believe in himself. I'd say Whight has to force the issue. Jewell is on about signing new fullbacks for both sides, so I'm guessing he doesn't have huge faith in him.

Agree with the majority of your post post westlake although with whight last game of the season against the bottom of the table club, giving him a start or at least some game time is the only way hes going to start believing in himself.

However ,the team was the team Jewell thought could win, which it did, and i get the impression if the game was killed off in the first half the younger players would have been given the second half. As much as you have to look to the future you cant forget the present and you have to look after the points, even if they are dead points, each position gives a higher reward, and i don't think any manager would want to finish in the clubs lowest position in however many years.

Very true I'm sure people would have been up in arms if this would've happened!! I would've liked more youngsters to be given a chance at the game but at the same time they have to earn the right to play. Though I don't know how Sonko and Delaney have earnt the right!!

By the sound of it Sonko was garbage yesterday & Delaney is garbage, so why not go with Ainsley & Whight, I really do not think they would have been any worse than these two, unfortunatly jewell did not have the guts to give them a go.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and i agree it would have been nice to give them a go especially considering sonkos not going to be here,

but in team selection terms, an inconsistant goalkeeper with 3 young players and a right back who does frequently get caught out i can understand the inclusion of an experienced head to start the game if the plan was, which we can never find out, to give the youngters game time when the game was 'won'

I see your point Mike. I think sometimes youngsters need to come into a stable team and our defence yesterday was possibly one of the most error prone and least talented in our history. You need someone to help you out in your first appearence and everyone in our backline needs help themselves!!
