Apparently we nearly signed a striker but sadly it looks like we have FAILED, had to happen some time after all the recent success in the transfer market!!
'twas believed to be DJ Campbell but he has decided to go elsewhere, guessing its Blackpool.
To be honest, cant even be frigged to moan about this anymore, just thought i would point out that we are still after loan signings and still failing, although Campbell would always pick Blackpool over us as has played there before.
The thing is, is it really needed, we have plenty of players that can cover up top for a week or two, great if we bought in a younger striker from the lower divs as cover and with a view to a perm signing but old man Campbell??
Sorry but this smacks of DESPERATION, still you carry on Jewell, your diggin your own grave bud and i honestly think if we lose Saturday then its goodbye!!

Hey DJ Campbell would be a quality signing for us... but... is it signings we need? No not really. It's purely about what happens on the pitch between now and Christmas. Jewell would do better to spend his time out on the training ground and leave his office locked until January.

We have plenty of players who can play up top but can any of them score? We look like a team who will always concede and one that wont score more than once a game. Defence is obviously a priority but a decent goalscorer would be nice.

That's not down to the players - we scored as many goals as Reading last season.

Sorry Lancs but I cant see how scoring is not down to the players. The amount of sitters I have personally seen us miss this season already is amazing. It may be down to a lack of confidence or a nervousness but when standing 2 yards away from the goal you somehow manage to put it wide, over or even miss the ball totally its hard to blame others.

I think you can say that our defensive play could definately be improved on the training field through positioning and defending as a team but on the attacking side we are doing a lot right until it comes to putting the ball away.

Could have been Jermaine Beckford from us. He has just signed for Huddersfield
