I think he should go but it seems he is being backed in the transfer market and i can't see the point of letting him add to the squad today only to dump him tomorrow so i fear he is here for the majority of the remainder of the season. Hopefully he proves most of us wrong and turns it all around.
I wouldnt bet on anything. The way we waste money we will probably allow him to sign 5 new players then sack him meaning we need to replace the whole squad again in the summer.
I think we should be looking at the managers of league one and two who will already have good knowledge of the lower league players that could step up and do a job for us.
I can see why people are calling for Jewell's head, I am now certainly in the minority. But to then go on and say Osman would be an inspired replacement, where does that come from???
If there is not going to be a protest to get rid of PJ I guess the only thing to do is give him support. It can only be detrimental to the performances not to show support, but the players really need to give the PR regulars something to shout about, one doesn't come without the other unfortunately. I don't want to see any manager fail for us but unless things improve he has to go.
I would have Osman as an interim manager for the rest of the season in order to spend time searching for the best possible manager rather than another panic appointment. Osman has blue blood in his veins, knows the ethos of the club first hand and is an outstanding coach. My young lad has been getting some coaching from Osman and he is an inspiration. I have no doubts that Osman could make the step up and with his true enthusiasm for Ipswich Town he would persuade decent young hungry players to come here and play their football.
I find myself agreeing with most things you say ptc, although I am neither 'anti' nor 'pro' Jewell it seems we are going to back him and he'll be bringing in some more players. I can certainly see why people are calling for his head but quite honestly who will come in and do a job for us that is any better, he hasn't become the worlds worst manager overnight he's just made some pretty dire transfer decisions and rightly (in my opinion) he has until the end of the season to drag himself out of the mire
Yeah and by then we will be a League 1 Club is that what you really want! He has to go now so that we can at least have some hope of salvaging some dignity from another diabolical season. I cant believe that some people still want to give him more time!

Is this a record for the amount of consecutive posts that are the same! Hampy can you remove the duplicates mate
Ideally I would like for Jewell to bring in the players needed then bugger off for a better manager to come in. I think we are too fragile for a new manager to come in blind to what state the club is in. Jewell knows exactly what is needed and perhaps when he has the right players at his disposal he will be a success but at the same time he continues to make errors which are blatantly obvious
If Jewell did go the one thing I wouldnt want was for us to be run by someone with no experience for the next 4 months. Osman may be a very good coach but that doesnt alwasy translate into talented manager. I would have no problems with an Osman type as the assistant manager and would personally welcome a 'link' with the club at this level. If we did want to bring in an ex player into the management role then the obvious available choices are Butcher or Yallop. Ideally I would say Mogga but cant see him wanting to walk out on Boro.
what do you mean by then we will be a league one team ,we are now playing like a league one outfit #####################
