Hi guys, Bristol City fan here in peace....

I'd be interested to hear your opinions on JET - I am worried that letting him go may come back and bite us on the arse. We are only weeks away from the start of the season and with no new signings our lot are getting a little twitchy - although we do trust Cotts, so it's by no means a panic just yet.
JET was never a first choice for us under Cotts and could sometimes appear lazy or disinterested, however, that could be due to his sheer size and clumsy running style - he is a big unit. If you check out his lazy (bordering on the insulting) penalty against Walsall last game of the season you will see where I am coming from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9zVBQ8-nEA
He has a sweet left foot and really stepped up to the mark and formed a good partnership with Smith when first choices Wilbs and Agard were out injured. He is also the kind of player who can give you a moment of magic which bamboozles a tight defence and breaks a deadlock - he is surprisingly skilful for a big man. He was a fans favourite and his 'goodbye' statement to us was very respectful - we will always be grateful to him for his contribution to our fantastic season.
Good luck to yourselves and JET for the coming season - we will, of course, be hoping that he doesnt score against us though!

Way to soon to form an opinion, ask us again at the end of September and we should be able to able to give you an answer.

All the best for the season except for when playing us obviously....

This, give him time to bed in and become a typical QPR player (not as good as he should or could be<laugh>)

Indeed Ellers, Bristol is a great spot, lots of decent pubs particularly over the river in Clifton. I lived there for 7 years before moving to Aus. Ashton Gate is decent stadium, close to the pitch and the locals are usually ok (unless Cardiff are visitors).
I last went there when we drew 1-1 under Iain Dowie. Ledesma got sent off and pat Agyemang warmed up so much, he created a rut on the side of the pitch, he was an unused sub
    Enjoy

I hope he's not Plan A as his record at this level is sketchy at best but as a free transfer on fairly sensible wages I'm really glad we've signed him. It's arguably his last chance to fulfil potential as a youngish player and I don't think anyone can doubt he has the makings of a very good Championship player.

I can never work out his best position though. I'd like to see him have a run in a fairly free role in a 4231

Out of interest what ever happened to the delightful Christian Roberts and Brian "Plymouth and QPR fear us" Tinnion?

I like to think Roberts is washing windscreens at a set of traffic lights somewhere on a B road in the South-West.

    Christian Roberts: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Roberts
What this doesn't emphasise is his battle with booze, bankrupcy and loss of his family (messy divorce). He hit rock-bottom but now spends his time doing community work.

Brian Tinnion has returned to Ashton Gate to assist with the youth training - although this article doesn't specifically mention it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Tinnion
Great L1/Championship standard midfielder in his day and top bloke - disastrous manager though.
