That was how PJ described it in his bbc interview. I don't know if he's insuating JET's a bit of a diva but it sure made me laugh. So far I have enjoyed listening to his interviews. He tends to tell it like it is and most times says something funny or makes light of a tough question. <twistedsock>
I thought JET was ****ing useless yesterday. The only decent thing he did was to fall over! Another luxury that we can't afford.
JET offered very little, and it always amazes me why he targeted his head from goal kicks? It's not his fault he's ****e in the air, but surely someone could tell Stocky that! I would like to see him at the tip of a diamond before we give up on him, but for now Carson is definitely the better option.
Nah JET will be class on his day. He's already got a couple of good goals and he looked useful for the first 25 against Posh. Leadbitter is the only one I want rid of.
That's the bloody problem with him Yorkie! On his day! Good grief he needs to be on his game, every game and not just 20 minutes! He was totally ineffective yesterday almost as bad as that twat Leadbitter!
We need that bit of spark. JET is something special. It's miles better than having an average player playing average passes for 90 minutes and never getting anywhere. He's never really got on anywhere yet and I reckon if he has gametime he'll get more and more consistent. He's got bags of spirit and flair but I sense he needs to be made to feel like a superstar.
The main problem I've got with JET is that he's too slow and immobile for the wing. Bags of flair and all the skills in the book, but he's never going to be a winger when he runs as fast as a one-legged dog!
no wins, an assortment of red cards, penaltys conceded every match...it ain't looking too good, is it carra?
Pretty much sums JET up. When he played for us had lots of fancy tricks but overall productivity was very low. Spent a lot of time doing bugger all. You already know what you're getting with Bullard, so good signing (unless he goes off the wire like he did at Hull)
JET's not a winger. His best position is behind the striker/s spraying the ball left and right and slipping balls into the strikers and having a crack at goal himself.
not sure why you're laughing Carra? A 4-0 home defeat to League One opposition in zero wins from four is worse!!
You think we care about losing in the League Cup?!?!?! When and IF we lose 7-1 and 5-2 this season to our fellow promoted teams, then come back to me.
When and if you're relegated and Town finish in the top 8 we'd all call that progress Don't forget Carra - teams promoted to the Prem usually have a honeymoon period where they go on a great run of results at first. What's happened to yours?
Like Swansea and QPR have? You know you won't finish in the top eight as plain and simple you aren't in the top eight teams in the league and by some distance.
Carra - we have 11 new signings and still need some defenders. Rome wasn't built in a day but we now have very good options in midfield and up front. I reckon we will finish top eight. Auto promotion is certainly beyond us already though based on how hard it is to make up 9 points on the top sides. Swansea have started well, QPR look doomed but they do at least have funds to strengthen in Janurary.
Hampy - I accept that you have to stand up for your team, but do you really think that 14th in the Championship is better than 14th in the Prem?
Hampy - you say Swansea have started well! We are above them in the league, so I take it you mean WE have started well also?
No of course not but the league finishes in May Dave I said before the start of the season you look at the quality of player that sides like Wolves and Wigan have and the promoted teams are miles behind. I fancy Swansea to do OK. Two clean sheets and they were desperately unlucky not to score on Saturday. With players like Sinclair and Graham in the side they will definitely get goals. I will love if Blackburn get relegated. Norwich I think are being found out for not investing and still largely having good League One players. It was grit and determination that got Norwich so many late goals last season but as you saw on Saturday it's not enough in the top flight.
