Reports that Fulham are set to bid £3m for JET. Wouldnt surprise me if he moved on, we could claw back some of Clegg's wages...
Would be terrible if it did happen, apart from losing an important young player it would send out all the wrong signals as a club that we are a stepping stone and no future building!
What a difference a few months make. Many called him a waste of space and a waste of money, now he's really one to look out for next season. I hope he stays, there are not many players out there like him, yes he can be frustrating but at the end of the day you go to footy matches to be entertained and he certainly is a player who can do that. It seems the first time in a while we have interest in some of our players, haven't had that for a while. I would say he will definitely stay at least until the end of next season unless its stupid money. Still hasn't really proven himself at this level yet, he would be stupid to leave when he will probably get a full season next year for the first time and I don't know if clubs would be willing to pay alot this summer, if he has a good season next year then maybe.
The trouble is - if he's getting the chance to go and play in the Premier League at a club like Fulham then you have to be a complete ****er to hold back his career by having him stay at our club. I think with all the factors if a bid came in he'd go.
JWM, surely you would rather have JET stay, we could go in for someone like Loach for around 1M and we would probably pay him a sensible wage to boot.
Okey Dokey......Anyway I was talking to one of the dads at my sons footie training at Brantham last night, the conversation went along the lines that he was talking to a guy who knows Scott Loach, and Loach apparently would walk to Ipswich tomorrow if they came in for him....I just hope that this gets back to jewell....PTC, Tractorbhoy can you help pls.?
I'd be amazed if Fulham offered £3m for JET, no offence, but from what I've seen, it's about £2,950,000 more than he's worth.
He wouldn't get anywhere near our starting XI and he's far less likely to get anywhere near Fulham's.
Someone mention me? I dont really see why anything was aimed in my direction but hey ho thats life I suppose. What is it I am meant to have done/ meant to be doing?
