Thought Stockdale was going to Swansea / Leeds / Forrest! Jet could do a job in this division with a run of games. £1M seems a bit rich though. Hope he doesn't come back to haunt us. Him and Chops up top could be a handfull.
They are welcome to him. He had plenty of opportunities to show what he could do with us but ended up flattering to deceive. The fact that Ar5ena1 are dumping him for whatever they can get says it all. He certainly has skill but his application and team ethic left a lot to be desired. Bit of a one trick pony I think. Sod's law though he will score a hat trick for Ipswich against us. Stockdale a good keeper signing if they can get him.
From what I saw of him, I wouldn't have wanted us to pay a mill for him. If Wenger will let him go for that figure, then he's probably worth half that. He never impressed me and will have to forget about the "Arsenal Way" in his play for this division. Skill is a gift that needs to be backed up in the Championship with effort, ie getting stuck in. Jewell will demand that - that's how he got results with Wigan and got them where they are now. JET will have to adapt or he'll be an expensive luxury for them. On the other hand, I do fear Chopra at this level. If he's got his head sorted, he can fire the tractor boys into the top 6 no problem.
it didnt help that we changed his position a lot of the time and i think he could become a top half prem player in the future because hes deffinately got the potential
You could well be right london, but I always got the impression that he didn't want to be here. Maybe it was the loan scenario and he'll do better at Ipswich as a contracted player. I wouldn't bet on it though - he could go on in life to emulate another former Arsenal youngster.........................Jay Bothroyd.
Could really do a great job for them, he should have done a great job for us! But it's the old mindset problem and that doesn't get sorted overnight. Best to have missed this one judging on last season with us.
