http://www.stokecityfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10310~2438069,00.html STOKE CITY have confirmed that Birmingham City striker Cameron Jerome has completed a deadline day move to the Britannia Stadium. The England Under-21 international has put pen to paper on a four year deal with the Potters after an undisclosed was agreed with Birmingham. Manager Tony Pulis has long been an admirer of Jerome's, not least because he has enjoyed his visits to the Britannia Stadium, scoring six times in four appearances, and he has been linked with a move to City throughout the summer months. "We are delighted to conclude this deal, the first of what we hope will be a number exciting additions to our squad before the transfer window closes," said City's Chief Executive Tony Scholes in announcing the signing of the 25-year-old striker. Pulis added: "Cameron is a player of outstanding potential and I am sure his explosive pace will make him a big favourite with our supporters. I know that our defenders have always found him to be a real handful whenever he has played against us. "We have been looking to increase our attacking options in this window and he will certainly provide strong competition for places in that department." Although Jerome had a brief spell with Middlesbrough in the formative stages of his career, it was with Cardiff that he sprung to prominence. He scored 20 goals in the 2005-06 season to finish as the Welsh club's leading scorer and that led to him making a £3 million move to St Andrews. The Huddersfield-born frontman played a big part in the Blues gaining promotion to the Premier League in the 2006-07 season and he was a regular goalscorer over the next two seasons as the Blues experienced fluctuating fortunes. He featured in the Birmingham side which got to last season's Carling Cup Final and came on as a substitute in the triumph over Arsenal at Wembley. please log in to view this image

Sorry, not for me! 3 goals in a full prem campaign and on 21 goasl in alomst 100 games over the past 3 seasons (Including 1 championship season) is poor! I see his value is "undisclosed" which means we paid over the odds! I'll support anyone in a Stoke shirt, but I think this is one of those TcP deals that only he thinks is good! God knows what we are paying him aswell! Wich Crouch supposedly signed and Fuller on 6/8 weeks away I dont think it was a deal that had to be done, and if he rated him so highly then why didn't we buy 4 weeks ago? Because he thought he was better than stoke and nobody else wanted him! Happy with WP and although I would have preffered Bendtner to Crouch and I think Crouch is big money for his age, these are good signings! Hutton and Jenas should have been the others as only 1 midielder in and that means that the Centre Mid will still be unbalanced!
Nobody else wanted Walters, and look how that turned out. I can't say I'm ecstatic about him signing, but he's a decent young player who is very quick, runs the channels well and can only improve. Never been a fan of Jenas myself mate, too lightweight and has a habit of giving the ball away in dangerous areas. Other than that, I agree Hutton would've been decent but there were other, more pressing areas of the pitch to address (which we did).
Yes Jerome only got 3 or 4 last season but let's not forget he was in a Birmingham team that played 1 up front and didn't always create lots of chances. The season before Birmingham played 2 up front and Jerome got 11 goals.
