Done....he won't win though...because he has got a personality and the BBC don't quite understand what a personality is

I'm just not sure about this at all.

I can see it from both sides.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a massive Defoe fan. He was awesome for us the last couple of seasons.

His friendship and support to Bradley and his family has been a wonderful story for sport and says a great deal about the man himself.

I could envisage recognition on some humanitarian-sport level.

I can also envisage a segment on the programme in December about Bradley and how football came together to support the little lad (don't forget how generous Everton and the FA were either).

I'm firmly on the fence on this one for now.

    Heart breaking :emoticon-0101-sadsm

The lad touched the hearts of the football nation, and my club in particular where he'd visited a few times. Our fans have been following his progress since his first visit and there's a thread dedicated to him on GOT.

His bravery and spirit shone through, and his family must take massive kudos for how they ensured that their little boy had the most fulfilling life possible in the circumstances and how they've dealt with the entire thing with such dignity.

Sitting at my desk with a lump in the throat and eyes watering - don't mind admitting ... awful, awful news ... brave lad and great credit to Jermaine Defoe for taking the time out to go beyond the call.

    Thought's with Bradley's parents ...

    RIP little man <rose>

Absolutely devastating for his parents, I hope they find peace in the fact that he is no longer suffering.

A kid with a smile we'll never forget.

    RIP little man

I was sat having dinner with Stan Jr and asked him to check the cricket score. He looked at his Sky Sports app and just pointed to the article about little Bradley passing. There but for the grace of whatever. So random, so sad.

RIP little fella, you made a name for yourself and it will hopefully make a difference :emoticon-0148-yes: :emoticon-0152-heart :emoticon-0178-rock:

Came home from work today and was chatting to my Mrs when I said Bradley Lowery died today.
I only say this because she knows and cares zero for football but knows who he is because the kid touched everyone.

Tragic. Little lads shouldn't die so young.
