You don't rate McShane then? Always gives 100%. Irish international. Great with his head(unfortunately, it's normally his second touch). Useful if you're falling short of the EU ginger player quota. If that's not enough, I don't even mind dropping him off?
Swap for St Ledger then? we'll meet half way and you can take Shaun back to Dull on your little gay bike
Beckford is a moody, spoilt arsehole who will drain your resources as no other club wants him,not at his wages, get real Beckford,Lge 1 is your limit, and dont ****in dream of coming back to Leeds, byee
Well as Beckford has played for both us and Everton this season we cant sell him only loan him As he would breach the 2 club limit rule. FIFA say you cant play for 3 clubs in 1 season
Very topical. And I'm assume whoever voted "I dont see what he is doing wrong" is either a Hull/Leeds fan or blind.
Giive him til the end of the season imo, BUT he needs a massive kick up the ****. We´ll see how NP votes on this one in time.
if NP cant sort him out nobody will, tho my thinking is we need to address the midfield prob 1st, and actually have one that can create something, so i for one would rather have a poll on getting rid of the useless wellens, and powderpuff gallagher to be honest..............
if wellens played well yesterday its the 1st foo**g time this season, but 30 mins out of a whole season, is something i suppose, he is dire, no pun intended, agree about abe tho, been a bit hit and miss all season, its 4 new midfielders for me, without that you can forget promotion, nomatter what st rikers we have
Beckford will score goals providing he gets the service from midfield - but with our midfield then nigh on impossible
Lets get one thing straight. Our midfield is ****. But this can't be used as an excuse for Beckford. Yesterday, for example, he had a cast-iron chance to score and blazed over. He had 3 or 4 very good opportunities to hit the target at least when the ball was played in front of him to run onto (just how he likes it) and also when it fell to him in the box. He had a mare with all of these chances. I can think of 2 seperate occassions where he's had a free header from a yard out and put it over. I can think of numerous times where the ball has fell nicely for him in a good position and he's not hit the target. He's missed his fair share of chances and his general play is abysmal. He can't hold it up, refuses to jump for headers, gives away a hatful of free kicks, always makes the wrong decision when in possession, gives it away cheaply at regular intervals and tries fancy flicks when it's unneccessary. But most importantly he's only got 2 goals and has most of the time looked like he can't hit a barn door. We can't afford to get rid of him with Vassell and Schlupp out and Waghorn capable of playing just as **** (if putting in more effort). I hope he comes good. But blaming his lack of goals on the midfield? Give over.
Not being funny, but I think he only had one good goalscoring chance. (the one where he blazed over from about 12 yards with his left foot). I honestly don't remembering him having any other stone wall chances. He had one where the ball took a deflection and he had about 0.1 of a second to react and another where he tried to flick the ball over the defenders head twice. But on the subject of missing chances, surely Nugent, Gallagher and Dyer fall into that category more than Beckford?
I would, its not his goal scoring capabilities that concerns me but his lack of making himself available for the passes! afterall how can you expect a misfielder to pass to a player who is either miles away from play and standing still?! hardly premership class..... That said he made one or two efforts and nearly scored. I like the potential of the lad but something is not quite right in his head.
I chose "Keep him if he is willing to sort himself out, if not get rid". Problem is the type of player he is as he is a pure striker not a forward - only purpose is to score goals not do anything else for the team apart from hold the ball up once in a while which tbh isn't the type of player we need. If he is willing to change then keep him, else sell him on and he will do well elsewhere playing to his strengths like DJ has done.
