Is the latest rumour. It would become more and more tempting as times runs out for me. Especially if the cash is over 5m to go toward another forward. Anyone else sacrifice Sess for two proper strikers?
I think we have to keep Sess.....he's the class act in the team and it would cost a mountain more than 5 mill to replace his class. We need players to go with him, not instead of him IMO.
Nope leaves us in know better position imo we need to keep sess and get 2 strikers otherwise we would need to buy a creative player. And as we need another anyway we would then need 4 players instead of 3 and getting one in is hard enough.
We need sess so I would say no to a swap deal for Defoe. I would love us to get Defoe but losing sess to get him is a step backwards IMO. I just hope we get at least 2 players in before next weekend & 4-5 more before August 31st
Have to agree if we sell Sess, other than Seb the creativity is gone. When I refer to creativity with Seb I'm talking dead ball situation's etc; Sess was up there last season for creating chances, unfortunately we didn't have the player's to make use of..... If we sell, then to me it will be like 3 steps back and 1 forward.
My post was put in twice anybody else having problem's with this site. I attempt to send post and get prompted instead with 'leave this page' or 'stay'
No keep Sess Welbeck could leave united if they get RVP so they could be a great strike force Welbeck/Hernandez/Berba with Fletcher/Defoe
Tottenham don't have another recognised striker. They aren't selling. Defoe and Fletcher would be a really good strikeforce but I can't see it. I value Sess at a minimum of £15m and Defoe (mainly due to age and lack of playing time) at £5m. Not a deal I'd be taking.
As a Spurs fan, I can't see where Sessegnon would fit into our plans, to be honest. Assuming that we actually sign some bloody strikers, then I can see Defoe going, but where would we pick the Benin international? Forgive me if I've misjudged him, but isn't his best position in behind the striker, where we've already got van der Vaart and have just signed Sigurdsson? Can't see Levy bringing in the 28 year old to act as a squad player, as he loves a signing with resale value or on the cheap and neither would apply here. I think that Defoe would be a good signing for you though, if you pair him up with a big man. I won't mention the possibility of that being Heskey. Oh, ****...
Bla bla bla. Wigan have turned Heskey away, we won't sign him. It's as possible for you to sign him as it is for us. Apart from that I agree. Sess would be utterly wasted at you.
Yeah, he looked pretty handy in the Olympics, from what I saw of him. Maybe he'll kick on this season, having had the last one to adjust to a new league and lifestyle? With our total lack of a suitable lone frontman right now, I'd be tempted to take him! Are you sure that you don't want to pair up old Ivanhoe with his old England teammate Owen, though? Don't answer me straight away. Just think about it...
