http://www.theguardian.com/media/20...tanding-up-for-working-class-people?CMP=fb_gu Sean Bean speaks out in favour of new Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn. Will Corbyn meet the same fate as Ned?
If there is one thing Sean Bean does it's die in movies and TV shows George Osborne is definitely little finger!!
What's your guys opinions of Corbyn, I cannot make my mind up. He is proposing some ****ed up ****, like withdrawing from NATO etc. But I think in a lot of ways he could do some good. The media's smear campaign against him is laughable, as they fear him. I think I fear him too, I am left wing, but he is Extreme left, maybe a little too extreme. I miss Tony Blair, foreign policies aside, he was my favourite PM. Of course Corbyn wants to jail him on war crime charges though
Hey, stop hijacking threads and turning them all into global warming ****. You are already discussing this in another thread miladdio!!
Right now, all I am seeing is subject change What's your thoughts on Corbyn BBF? Bet you have some fun theories on the man.
My opinion on him hasn't really changed. He's a good man imo, who is a bit of an idealist and has a strong set or principles. I like what he's done around PMQ's, trying to take the nonsense away from it, and turn it into a proper political debate as opposed to a weekly performance, were they're continually trying to merely point score. However, my overall view on him being electable hasn't changed.
I think Corbyn is a decent bloke with strong principles-some of which I agree with, some I don't. Sadly, I suspect he will condemn us to yet more years of Tory misrule, because the electorate will be too scared of radical change.
Have to say I agree with this, especially the last line. The Torys are arse ****ing this country hard, especially the working class. They claim that benefits are abused by scroungers, which in some cases they are, but instead of improving their procedures on finding benefits cheats and sieving out those who are fit to work, they just cut the benefits, which will affect everyone, more so the people who actually are entitled to that money. Also I hear that 10,000 people who have been deemed fit for work have since died after being forced back into work. Also I ****ing hate George Osborne with a passion. At least under the coalition the Tories had to be a little careful with their bullshit, now they have carte blanche.
Clearly it's just wrong that any large group of people should be ruled by a small minority motivated primarily by self interest. However, this is how it has been for millennia. We've progressed slowly from the Divine Right of Kings to something approaching a democracy of sorts, but it has to be a slow, incremental process because revolution frightens people. We progressed steadily through the 20th Century with the success of the Labour movement and post-war social inclusiveness, but all that was **** on from a great height by Thatcherism and now we're back to a self-obsessed culture where everyone is told they're "worth it" but only the privileged few are getting it. We should have a society which works for the improvement of everybody, but instead we have groups of individuals working towards their own ends, whose agenda occasionally coincides to give the illusion of co-operation. Thatcherism set the cause of a fair society back more than 100 years, and sadly I can't see us undoing that damage in my lifetime. This is depressing me now- can we go back to fluffy kittens?
