  1. Good to see him back today - he gets a lot of stick for someone yet to play enough games to form an opinion (which I think is largely down to his price and where he came from). I thought he looked pretty solid when he came on, and I have seen some good defensive and attacking qualities from him in his limited game time this season. Deceptively quick, seems like a good tackler, and is a great crosser of the ball.

I think he might be one of our full backs for a few years to come if he develops well - at least a quality back up.

Its not his fault. Its wenger/injuries who threw him in when he wasnt ready. He is still championship class imo

What stick? I think most Gunners like him. He is deceptively a very powerful player - strong, tall and fast. He is good on the ball and most important - he has brain. He needs time, of course, but he will learn a lot from Sagna. I am sure he has future. I do not think he will go on loan - 2nd choice RBs do not go on loan. He has more potential than Eboue - that is obvious.

Definitely won't go on loan. I'd like to see him play every reserve game from now on to keep his fitness up and give him some experience since Sagna has that position nailed-on in the first team.

  9. He's smiling because it has just dawned on him how many girls he is going to have in that room <laugh>

Seriously though - he really is living the dream. You can tell just how much he loves Arsenal in his interviews.

Seen him play on a couple of occasions this Season. I think you have the full package with young Carl, talent, desire, commitment. I like him alot, think he'll be used as a CB in years to come.

As you say jayram good to see him back, given time I think he could prove to be a shrewd investment

    I like him alot.

However with Sagna at rightback he's not going to get alot of games there.

Personally i would like to see him play at left back more often because I cant help but think he has more potential than Gibbs.

The only stick he gets is from people like me tired of people like you exaggerating about how amazing he has been Jayram. He has been nothing of the sort, but I can certainly see a lot of potential there. He is big, strong, fast and learning quickly.

Agreed but thebear is right and he wont get enough playing time with sagna around. Send him on loan to bolton or a top championship side (which could be bolton in fact) next year.

I think he could easily play 15-20+ game a season even with Sagna fit.

Remember Sagna cant play very game and he looks like a good RB with a good delivery.

People only give him stick due to the 8-2 but he wasnt the only bad player that game and to be thrown to the wolves against the likes of Nani & Young is not nice.

He is a very good player especially at his age, he is quick a very good crosser and what I like most of all, he is what they call a no nonsence defender, if in doubt he puts it out!! Nothing wrong with that.

He is Arsenal through and through, just when you read his dad's story it's just amazing:

too bad he was injured for so long, would have liked to see in the cup games when we were still in it.
