If you read the article he says nothing of the sort. Lazy journalism - but don't be lazy readers.

"The biggest club in the world recently sacked its manager and appointed the reserve-team manager to try to unite the star-studded players of Real Madrid." - Jenkins

Well who was that reserve manager? lets be honest here comparing us with Real Madrid & Chelsea is delusional, but what really concerns me is this line from him:

"I think the decision to keep Alan at the helm until the summer allows us time to fully evaluate where we are going financially off the field and the adjustments we need to make on it.

That sounds to me as if he is going to sell the family silver, and preparing for the Championship, also confirmed by this line:

"But we have no safety net of cash to underpin too many gambles with big-name managers or so-called big-name players."

Seems content to allow us to drift regardless, and I can only agree with this comment from a Jack in the comments column:

Very alarming if you ask me.............<ok>

Anyone here wonder, that our board may cash out while the players are still at a PL high value, before we go down? just thinking out loud here, but with Gomis going and maybe Monty, and the way Huw hates paying high prices in the January window, where we normally only sell, it could be a possibility, couldn't it?

Or has Dai got to me!..........<laugh>

It's a possibility. There's no sign of any real money on the transfer table, only an attempt to try and plaster up a sinking ship.

I did laugh when I first opened up the article. There was a banner advert at the bottom of the picture with Huw Jenkins (it changes each time you open the article up). The one that I had was an advert for Jamesons Whiskey with the tag line (which was right below Jenkins face) "HAVE NO PLAN SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN" <laugh>
Pretty much summed him up for the past few months

I still say our Board completely cocked things up this season, and starting to resemble the cast of One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest....Jenkins trying to compare Zidane at Madrid and Gus at Chelsea to the appointment of Curtis is bizarre to me, just thinking out loud again so pay no attention, just trying to get to grips with our situation currently, though still a long way to go to the end of the season, just hope Jenkins still got his midas touch, we sure need it now...........:emoticon-0106-cryin

2 weeks left in the window and no signs of any new players which is no surprise after all who would want to join us right now, and what manager would also want to take over. Maybe we have left it too long. So yes Huw does have a lot to answer for I think the past success has gone to his head and he has made some terrible decisions lately which could cost us our Premier status, sorry I'll have to stop this thinking out loud, Dai's fault............<laugh>
