http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/qpr-midfielder-plans-sign-new-6761776 Is there a single person on here that would give the 31 yo at least 30k a week? The reason why they are all in that situation is because they are **** and aren't wanted, especially at their current vastly inflated wages.
They must read this forum and post articles solely to raise your blood pressure Flyer! Suffice to say he's one we can show the door at the end of the season...
Next up, henry to sign a 5 year extension! The trouble is with old players, sign them on a long term deal and they become lazy and terrible, AJ, zamora, young etc and you can't get rid of them Sign them on short deals and they get lazy and terrible because they know that they won't be back if we go up, its actually in their best interests for us to lose and they might get another deal in the champ. Of course there are exceptions like HH and hill but if you did a good/bad count for u28s and over 28s, it would be something like 6-1 and 3-18 respectively. Thats a guess but you get the idea.
Good squad player if he go up and credit to him Saturday for driving the team forward ... it was him that took control of the game after a good leeds start ... make no mistake he is a very good player still. Sorry but we can't just be going through players and dismissing them willy nilly. he is worth keeping 100%. We haven't seen him because we have brought in too many midfielders. he was one of the bright points on Saturday and his goal was very well taken. We go up as i have said expect a new squad so hold out hope seeing many of the current players staying Green Faurlin Austin Phillips Nedum Barton Simpson Jenas will all stay plus a few others. Jenas is still premiership class now and a great squad players going forward Jenas got in before Carroll Sat ... now that's progress IMO
Couldn't disagree more. We have far too many of yesterday's men and he is the prime example IMO. Can't wait for him and his sort to be off our books. We just don't have enough younger players hungry to make a name for themselves. Judging by his performances to date, this guy's main motivation is to feather his nest as much as possible until he can retire into the sunset.
I believe that Harry will leave during the summer whatever happens (don't think before) and so any talk of renewing player contracts is premature. Personally I would keep him. There are several others I would jettison before him like Zamora, Aj, Benjaoun (who has done ****e all since joining us), SWP, Henry.
Agree. Way to premature. As you say as well there are others who I would rather see go before Jenas and we can't replace the whole squad. But he is not an older player that seems to inspire or in any way lead younger players, so on balance I certainly won't be too unhappy if he goes.
i don't understand how people can bracket Henry with the likes of SWP, Zamora and bloody Luke Young. some of you really baffle me
Not totally disagreeing but I would never call AJ lazy or Zamora for that matter. Jenas should offer much more than he does give his experience, we need more of what we saw on Saturday.
He belongs with SWP, he tries but is utterly awful. To think, he cost us as much as Liverpool paid for sterling. I think we thought we were getting the other henry at wolves, similar to what Newcastle did with cort.
Fair assessment. Jeans is a decent squad player. This idea that we're not playing well therefore everybody must be **** is very silly. We all cry out for stability and in the same breath talk about making wholesale changes of the playing staff and management. To say we're fickle is an understatement!!!
Why would anyone want stability when we have the most overpaid and oldest squad in our history? Barton is the only player in his 30s who I'd be happy to stay, even then id let him go when his contract runs out. Everyone else is mediocre to shocking which is incredible considering our wages.
Stability is fine when we have something worth being stable with, we don't now. For me we had that when we came up from the Championship with Colin, but we lost it when TF fired him and brought in Hughes, though the previous owners had screwed it up big that summer.
Me, too. I thought he was of the few that did reasonably well on Saturday. He was always looking for the ball and made a few good tackles. Plus the goal, of course. On the negative side, I would say his dead ball delivery was decidedly dodgy. I don't think he's shone since he's been with us but I'd put a few others ahead of him in front of the firing squad.
He had a good game by his standards, thats why hes saying it now. He's been poor overall. There's probably 15 going, 10 are truly awful but he's the definition of mediocre we we shouldn't keep him because he's not as bad as the rest, especially for the massive wages he's on and the fact he's only going to get older, slower and worse.
