On ESPN they are suggesting that Jenas may be heading to Leeds on loan.

With Bentley departing on loan and now this possibility it leaves the 25 man squad named for the premier league (the one with 4 gks) even smaller as both of these players were named in the squad.

Times are changing at WHL - I am fairly sure that 3/4 years ago we had experienced players that we had to let out on loan because we simply could not fit them in the squad.

Some might see this as a worrying thinning of the squad but I look forward to it creating opportunities for the younger players at the club to be given chances to be involved in matchday premier league squads and even to get game time in the premier league playing with regular first teamers. We can then begin to see how much potential they really have as they will be playing with the big boys instead of with squad members or other yougsters in the Europa and alike.

The apparent thinning of teh squad may indicate that money is tighter at the club or perhaps reflect that we are now maybe paying more to the likes of Bale, Adebayor etc

When Parker returns to fitness, I can't see where he'll get a game apart from our U21's, that or a loan to the championship.

I think he could still do a job at a Premier League side if he gets some regular football without injuries. Unfortunately I can't see him making the grade with us again, it's easy to forget but when he joined us he did well and scored what seemed like our only freekick in the whole decade against United. He seems like a nice guy too so I hope this move works out for him.

This thread reminded me of this video. Nothing personal to Jenas, but I would rather he we gave chances to youngsters than him.

Spoke with Jenas once through my job, he was really arrogant, not nice at all. I bet you lot can't wait to get rid of him.

I met Jenas earlier this year and didn't find him arrogant at all. In fact the opposite, he was showing some disabled kids round our training ground and was absolutely brilliant with them. I don't rate him as a footballer, but as a bloke, he seems quite level headed and well spoken.

I'd rather his place in the squad went to Carroll or, when he's back, Luongo - both put in the effort, and their combined wages are probably less than his.

I've met JJ and he seemed like a nice bloke, didn't seem arrogant or big headed at all and signed plenty of autographs for fans

I do think he needs to leave Spurs to reignite his career though.
