After another assured performance from Jeff against Charlton. He really looks at home at left back. Nigel Pearson said he other week that Jeff still considers himself a striker and that's where he wants to make his career. IMO he should drop this idea of being a striker as IMO he won't cut it as a striker

Man U was interested in him as a left back and his best performances in a Leicester shirt have all come at left back. He has never really stake a claim for a starting place as a striker and right now he has at least 5 players ahead of him in the pecking order

As James, King and Moore have already seen this season once you lose your place for whatever reason it can be very difficult to get it back and Konchesky might find himself in that boat if Jeff continues his form at left back

So where do you think Schlupp should focus his career? Keep pushing to be a striker or become a full time left back?

If he trains every week as a left back he will only improve

He's all about pace, power and energy.

I think that suits left back more than up front.

He lacks a first touch and composure in front of goal. For me, he's a much better fullback.

From what I have seen (admittedly TV, internet) it looks to me as though a longer, more successful career at a higher level would be more likely at left back. He could probably bang them in for fun in the third or fourth tier but if he wants to reach the top then I think he needs to look at the advice he has been given and look to a permanent switch to the back.

    This is only my opinion.

He wants to play & play up front. He ain´t doing either of them at LC, on a regular basis, so I can see him leaving in the summer.

I think if he stayed in the chamionship next season he´ll try to push for a FOR roll at his new club. Dam fine LB DEF though, he´ll be a very good player in a few years to come whether it´s in a FOR roll or a DEF roll.

I don't think he'll leave ... not unless someone comes in with daft money ... I'd like to think he will focus short term on securing the left back berth ... he still has rough edges but could become very very good in that position ... However, he shouldn't give up his forward dream - his goalscoring record at every level he has been at has been exceptional (not just good) ... yes he lacks a bit of composure and his first touch needs to improve ... both are fixable ... but if we are citing a lack of composure in front of goal as a reason for not playing as a forward then David Nugent should start experimenting as cover for RDL <whistle>

i think he really could make a top LB and we tend to win by a bigger margin when he plays there opposed to PK

Also, we arent defensively liable there at all and his sheer pace makes pacey wingers ineffective as they dont know how to beat him! Watch him v Anya for example last season!

De Laet's the same on the other side, can't remember the last time a winger skinned him for pace. Good job he doesn't come up against Dyer (except in training).
