Yes, he went down in an innocuous tackle as though he'd been shot. Looked like he was faking. Unless the KC was full of doctors today HTF were we supposed to know ?
Off topic a bit, but I think you've hit on a fundamental part of the club's malaise. Assam heard someone say we need to do all we can to increase the sighs of the crowd... Oooh, is that my coat...
I knew it was going to happen, I'd hoped our fans could have a bit of common decency and show were a better lot than that rabble, but it was funny watching all the fat, bald, middle aged EDL types get very angry about it. In order to provoke their reaction, yes it was very acceptable.
Don't get me wrong, I hate TWS as much as anyone else, but I have no desire to see any professional footballer suffer a serious injury (and the use of a stretcher suggests it was a bad one). Whoever the opponent the right response to any player who has to leave the pitch on a stretcher is a round of applause. Or have we all lost any sense of sportsmanship and descended to the level of baying animals?
I thought it was really weird, we don't normally do anything like that, but he was winding up the North Stand blowing kisses apparently.
Didn't get this impression at all from the commentary. Burnsy said he was being applauded off by the City fans and waved to acknowledge them. Weird.
There was applause from west upper, which I guess Burns would have heard. Must have been eating a pie as he was stretchered past north stand.
he was getting a load of ****er ****er ****er as he was carried passed - he blew kisses back - the scum called our fans scum - they got you're a town full of bombers back - all very feisty although I suspect the scum were happy to hide behind their bodyguards from West Yorkshire PD
I hear there was some heavy handed policing in the away end, including CS Gas on the concourse, which I've never heard of before (unless it's a wind-up).
The vermin had their own stewards today in hi viz jackets alongside our own. Throw in the Special Ops bobbies and it was quite a pay day.
