    Its not that long ago they were in the FA and League cup final the same season!

    To me, they are one of those traditional clubs. Know what I mean?

    Remember seing Sabella playing for them at Roker Park at the end of the 70s and I've had a soft spot for them ever since - I think we scored 6 that night but the scoreline flattered us if memory serves.

    And of course I am talking about Sheff United and the thread is about Wednesday.

    According to the Alfreton Town website the match was against and I quote 'a youthful Sheffield Wednesday side who found themselves overwhelmed'. So I guess they were playing Wednesdays Under 9's team.

    The first team drew with Stoke on Saturday so maybe they are not on the skids yet.

    I'd guess their physio is the highest paid person at the club this year, as it will be his job to make sure that the first choice 11 play all 46 games - or else!
