I argued with mackems over football scores when I was 14 mate, it's in the past and been done to death. If you want proper football banter then stick around, like I said, the past is the past. You beat us 9-1 before your granda was probably born. Great stuff. I saw us beat you 5-1 and 4-1. So what. It's all in the past. Gettin into arguments over the Internet about the 5-1 and 9-1 games is for Facebook fella.

Yawnnnnn.... You bore me. Come back when you have a reposte that is a fitting response for having won the most league titles, currently best in the league, not to mention the most emphatic scoreline between the two clubs, then and only then, I may raise an eyebrow.

I must have missed the point of this thread. We're jealous fans because one of our players lives in Ponteland?

Ponteland's a nice place and if I was playing for a NE club it's the sort of place I'd look at.

I thought this thread might promote a bit of discussion but I'm still laughing about the jealous Sunderland fans. I think whoever wrote this article needs to take a step back & review the current position of our 2 clubs. And no, I'm not saying everything is ok & we're safe. However, I believe our current position may, just, be better than the Mags. No, I don't think I'm jealous.

Its actually impossible to be jealous or envious of something you would never want or desire though?

Whatever the mags achieve in football, I could never be jealous of them because in doing so, it would mean I'd have to be a mag and that's simply got to be the worst thing that could be leveled at me in whole life?:emoticon-0119-puke:

No, I'll just be very content with my club and whatever it achieves or not, and that means I can be a happy Mackem till my dying day:emoticon-0103-cool:

I'm not jealous of Newcastle, never have been and will never ever be.

Why, football should be not about coveting what other teams have whether it be players, transfer funds, stadia or success.

Sunderland are my team, my interest in Newcastle only extends to whenever we play them.

The people who are jealous or others who even think fans of other clubs are jealous of theirs?

I think it speaks volumes of their inadequacies to be honest.

You're both big clubs or both small clubs. Neither of your clubs are miles better than the other by any stretch this season. City are not better than my United cos they beat us 6-1 so scores don't come into it either.

Bringing up history when u ain't win anything for 700 years is a weak argument too. Unless you both want to admit that Villa are bigger and better than both of your clubs? Didnt think so.

Great post mate. We are both as ****e as each other only for some unknown reason the mags are deluded into thinking they are more a competitor of Utd than us. They haven't won a major recognised trophy since the mid 1950's when probably ALL the Mags on these boards were still tadpoles up the old fellas knob.

We are not much better being as it is 40 years for us.

They have certainly enjoyed better times in the last 2 decades without a doubt but still have **** all to show for that. Just like us.

I think the obvious reason for this is the age of the people that are responding. If you can't remember something because you weren't alive for it, then that's not likely to register much when people draw comparisons.

For this reason City have a long way to go before they can even mention United in a sentence

If I understand you correctly. SAFC fans arn't allowed to state that we are bigger than nufc upon the basis of having won more league titles, yet City are not allowed to mention United in a sentance?
