We'll see how he does, there are certainly players in the squad who could learn from JC on how a professional football should behave.
His ego will be there for all to see. A male model and that's it. I think the managerial appointment is good though. He probably wants someone who knows the Scottish game but I think he could have done better than Collins to be honest.
Wouldn't have him as manager as he bombed at that. No problem with him being a coach - he's meant to have been a legendary trainer. Just as long as any interviews he does are better than his punditry - just listing words with lots of emphasised P's in them. "Pace, Power, control, Precision, consistency, tactics, mentality, Peter Picked a Peck of Peppa Pigs"
I'm fine with JC, he'll demand a higher level of fitness and I don't see a problem with that. We've had players go on loan and heard reports from other clubs on their lack of fitness, its addressing a problem.
It's clearly something that fell by the wayside under Lennon because Strachan was much like Collins in terms of focus on fitness.
As others have said his ego may be a problem. I'm hoping he doesn't see this as a stepping stone to the managers chair if Ronny fails/ succeeds and is tempted away. I wish him all the best.
