You just know he will sign on a perm deal when he says things like this http://www.southwarknews.co.uk/home/millwall/00,news,24450,5227,00.htm
True but he will as Kenny has tracked his career for a long time and has finally got his man as he usually does This boy is special and now he's back in his comfort zone in London and once Kenny sorts his head out you watch him go
Will wait until he signs as he was voted player of the year previously but that didn't stop him going to the footballing power house that is hull
Yeah I'd imagine so and went for more money no doubt the tool until he realised that once out of his comfort zone away from friends and family he must have regretted going
Which is why I wouldn't read to much into him saying how great it is to be back, it all comes down to money and until he signs don't hold your breath steve
That's my gut instinct if I'm honest MFC but Kenny's been after him for a while after tracking his career for sometime now so has always been on his radar and the other thing is once the Millwall bug bites he wont want to leave as has happened with other players in the past so were see.
I'm sure the idea is to sign him on a perm and if he recaptures the form he showed previously I would be more than happy to have him as he was very good, but Championship will be tougher than league 1 so jury's out for now.
He is a big family man i remeber last time he was with us his mum sat behind me for all his home games once i shouted "for **** sake Jay, that was ****!" his mum hit me on the back with her programme and said "hes trying his best!!" watch out if his Mums about!!
NP had a interview yesterday and he was asked questions about Simpson. He said along the lines of sending him on loan to rediscover his form, if it works out for him then we will have him back. Both Hull and Millwall fans know, if he performs well, he will be staying at the Den. No doubt about it, however only IF Millwall can afford him. Comes down to, if he plays well, his price tag will grow, if not he will be sent back to us to do nothing (again). If he does play well, I hope you can afford him, as Arsenal have a big clause on his next transfer. A source for Hull says that Millwall offered 500k for him, we declined as we wanted 600k minimum as we want to gain something of him, having only signed him for 250k last summer. Good luck for the rest of the season
There's the answer MFC - make sure his Mum gets a complimentary at the Den or on our travels. She can hit out at any boo boys - and sort Jay out if he doesn't perform. Win-win! I believe he will perform for us.
