I can remember talking to a couple of posters on here about Jay Simpson being a flop. I mentioned that his chances had been limited under previous managers due to the arrivals of Matty Fryatt and Aaron McLean. Nick Barmby promised to give him a chance last Season and he featured once for 5 minutes in a Cup Game... This Season I thought it was the end of him when we signed Nick Proschwitz from SC Paderborn for £2.6million but it seems to have installed some determination in the lad. He looks a hell of a lot sharper, stronger and faster than he's ever looked in a City shirt and has 2 goals to his name already in some tough fixtures such as Brighton and Doncaster Rovers. He scored a hat trick pre Season but I thought he was just putting himself on the market for other Clubs. I just thought some posters on here would like to know how recently departed youngsters were doing after moving on so I thought I'd inform you on the immense improvement he's made for this Season.
Cheers for the update. Never thought he would make at our club, but it's good to hear that he is now doing well for Hull.
