  2. Hm.

I have a sneaky suspicion that United and 'Pool are going to go fcuking mental in this and the next Summer windows, to try to catch up to Spurs.

Chelsea and £ity, of course, would like to spend £billions, but even the crooks in the FA won't be able to let that one get past the fair play rules.

  3. Hang on a minute!

Are you seriously trying to tell us that £ity has spent a mere £131 million since 2003? And that Chelsea has spent a mere £214 million since 2003?

Those figures must be net? Even then, I can't see how they fit with the players they've each bought!

You only have to look at our figure to know it's net. We spent that much when Bale left - recouped it all on him and Hudd etc. I seriously doubt the Utd figure. They've spent a net £138m according to this site
    http://www.transferleague.co.uk/manchester-united/english-football-teams/manchester-united-transfers

Edit: ok, Jan only, Missed that. Might not be net then, no way have we spent £103m Net in Jan.

Lpool 3rd !! They're 3rd in overall spending since PL was established in 1992 as well. Poor Brendan and his "shoestring" budget

I'm waiting for either a fish/picard picture or a nurse/munch comment to complete HIAG's balls up.

The first one is an apt description of HIAG's approach to this thread.
I have no idea of whether he can tread.

<laugh> Almost as good as HIAG pulling somebody up for a spelling mistake, just after he'd made a spelling mistake.
