Is he worth investigating for a loan signing? He can't play for Blackburn due to a contract situation, I assume a new contract or a payrise if he plays again has meant that Keen has been told not to play him. He's also unlikely to be loaned to a rival PL club for obvious reasons so that just leaves Championship sides.
I was wondering that myself having watched MOTD2. It appears that further appearances means he's entitled to another year there so he's surplus to requirements. That said, some of the Blackburn fans don't rate him much anyway.
Has had his best days as a PL player but should he be fit enough would certainly add to what we have - presence with no little ability on the ball. Wonder what his wage demands would be though still.
He looks fairly big, but I'd say it's more strength than like Tomlin or Ashbee in his later days with us. Of course if you stand him next to Stewart, Brady, Koren and Fryatt he's going to look worse until there's a gust of wind that knocks the others over.
He would be a very good player at this level but I can't see us signing anyone else unless we pick up injuries! I know they are linked with everyone these days but I'm sure Donny were rumoured to be in for Roberts
