Puncheon was priced at £300K before the hattrick against crippled. Then his valuation went up 4 fold, saints were asking for over a million for him. He was openly saying he wanted to come to Millwall but Southampton's muggy chairman wanted a bidding war for him at stupid prices. In the end he went on loan to Blackpool as I think JB and KJ said they were not ready to pat with that sort of money for him.

Be all that as it may - do we need a player of what some of us consider Puncheon's class? Yes - and pretty badly.

Have we got the money to buy him? Yep

Do we look like getting somebody as good or better for less? Not from what we are hearing.

Did he seem to fit in when he was on loan? Haven't heard a word against him - except from Saints fans.

So should we buy him? Bit of a no brainer in my book.

Puncheon was priced at 300k because he couldnt be bothered to play at southampton and constantly threw a strop at the lack of first team football (saw himself as there best player)

Comes on loan to us and Kenny gets him motivated and he shines! bosh up the price goes to 1 million for a player they are desparate to off load! shame really if we had forked the 300k orginally then we could have had a player on our hands but to be fair when a player with Puncheons general attitude comes up then caution is the best policy!

As Neil says had KJ spent 300k on a player who had been a problem at Saints and he turned out to be the same with us the fans would have been saying what the **** was he thinking signing this player.

There should have been an agreement with Saints that we would pay x amount if we thought he was worth signing
