    There are strong suggestions that we've agreed a deal for your lad Pearce to come in as our first summer signing. I know he's a CB but would you mind commenting on his strengths/weaknesses, playing style etc. and how you feel about the possibility of him leaving? Thanks in advance,

    <ok>

    He is Pompey, through and through. A good, get stuck in type of player, right up Leeds' street I would have thought.

    He loves Portsmouth so much mind you, it could affect his level anywhere else, but Leeds would be a good club to have an effect, in a similar way in the end.

    Would be a big blow for us but we are going to loose most of our team, Pearce is a quality centre back who looks likes he's been in the pro game 15-20 years not like someone in his early 20s. He just won two player of the year trophies for us too

    Good stopper and generally positions himself and tackles well but cannot wait to get rid of the ball when he hss it. He has no distribution skills and needs a good defensive midfielder in front of him to come and collect it off him.

    I'd love to see him stay, but he's too good for League One :(

    He is a good solid defender and yes will be gutted to lose him - long as your paying a fair fee though - convinced we'll be ripped off by all and sundry come May 1st - he's a bargain at a 1M...so hope Bates opens his wallet - although I doubt he will. And I hope the administrator adds in a sell on clause.

    Agree, quality centre back, who wins most balls in the air.

    100% loyal to Pompey, but being told to move for the sake of the club's terrible financial position.

    At least he isn't going to Ipswich, so that's a bonus <laugh>

    Would you describe him as a leader?

    I imagine he will leave for less than £1 million; devo's right, clubs will rip us off ..

    For personal reasons with those deluded fans on the Ipswich Forum- I'm with you on this one <laugh>
