Oh good, someone to take the freekicks we never get awarded. Bit of a concern that last season he only started 5 games, and has been without a club for the whole of this season. He might be fit enough to play by the end of the season though.
Yippee! Apparently there's a bloke called adebolacurry who we should take a look at? Seriously underwhelmed!
You shouldn't be. He's only 32 and is a class above our attacking midfielders (bar Koren), represents a significant threat at set pieces (striking or crossing them) and is available on a free. Doesn't harm to have him on trial or to give him a deal til the end of the season, but like I say his fitness is a concern given how long it is since he played regularly.
If he's fit, then decent signing until the end of the season. We still need another striker. Even if it's just to share the pressure with Fryatt.
As far as I'm aware, he's injury-prone and has lost what pace he had (if he ever had any). I can tell he'll be our very own **** version of one David Beckham, taking a mean free-kick or corner but hardly getting a game because of the aforementioned negative traits.
Isnt he basically the same player but not as good as Koren? I really cant see them both in the same team.
Koumas was on trial at Blackburn at the start of the season and he was on trial at Leeds in January. He started off as a winger and as Cam isn't doing the business, Brady is injured(probably), Mclean has two left feet, Simpson isn't interested and Garcia doesn't even seem to be in the running, he might be a handy addition. He was certainly a quality player not long ago and if he's playing for a deal, he could be very useful.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/6689971.stm "West Brom: Kiely, McShane, Perry, Sodje, Robinson, Koumas, Greening, Gera (Carter 71), Koren, Kamara, Phillips." I can't find the clip but I remember this guy being tackled by a crisp packet when playing for Wigan
I would suggest that with such a young team his experience and quality on the ball could be a welcome addition. Think that would be it for Cairney for now though.
