I just wanted to say how much my boys enjoyed their soccer training day run by Ipswich legend Jason Dozzell. On a very hot day at Ransomes Sports Ground in Ipswich, the boys were treated to some expert coaching from Jason. I am full of admiration for him running these courses for the benefit of U13s & 14s and my lads thoroughly enjoyed the day and learnt a lot from the great man. He could so easily be putting his feet up after playing at the highest level of the game but to come and give these youngsters the benefit of his football knowledge is testament to how much he wants to give back to the local community. The next 2 day course is being held at Sidegate Avenue on 21st and 22nd August, so if you have some time on your hands why not take your kids down there for a fun day and at the same time learn some valuable football skills. The course is from 10am to 4pm and you pay a small fee on the day. I thoroughly reccommend it and the 180 mile round trip I made from Crawley was well worth it!
Yeah Jason is a top bloke and so down to earth All the kids seemed to be keen to learn and just responded so well to him.
My brother told me that when he went to Chantry High School everyone was talking about this first year kid who was supposed to be a bit talented at football, even aged 11, Jason could run rings around the 16 year olds and the sports masters themselves, they couldn't get the ball off him, and was obviously something very, very special... The rest, as they say, is history!
