All the best. Personally I think Scottish football is a step down from us. Lol.

It actually is! Look at Scott Vernon! Came to us and looked OK, no more no less. Goes to Aberdeen and become a star striker! Think Jason wanted a to come here but Hess wont be held to ransom! I feel that maybe Jason wanted to negotiate a deal a bit too much and Hess thought 'screw it I'll sign some argentinian Monster!"

Shame to see him go up to Aberdeen, Would be better for him to go to league 1 or 2 rather than Scot Prem.

Can't give him too much sympathy though. I didn't see him go on trial at any club's, so you can't really give him too much respect if he sat at home after not playing first team football for about 4 years! I feel he expected Hessy to jump though hoops to sign him... does he know the who Hessy is?

Just saying I think it is mad as he is a good player and he has simply ruined his career going there. My opinion, I think Scottish football is not competitive.

Wouldn't quite say he has ruined his career! However he has gone down in my estimations. I could understand him joining Blackburn to try and push for a first team place in the Premier League but joining Aberdeen to only be number two? You only have one life and to waste it sitting on the bench is stupid.

He is better than a number 2 there, I would not go there to be even number 1, He has let himself down, But what does it matter to us, all it is, Is a shame to see him make a stupid move like that.

Aberdeen also have David Gonzalez on loan from City who is very highly rated so I think Jason is only number 2. :( I must say it is sad to see him be wasted like this. I remember when he was here he had the world at his feet and look at him now. I must say I would have loved to see him come back but I never really expected him to sign.
I feel pretty sorry for Flitney! We all talk about these other keepers and seem to ignore Ross! However if he get's injured we are really done for.

Yeah we will be ****ed if he gets injured as Darren is not ready yet, he needs a year or 2 till he is ok to have as a backup as he is too young and could be good in the future.

Think 'the beast' (Gazza) is just a better version of Hawkes! So yes we are ****ed if Flitney get's a problem we haven't got any real back up keeper as we only have two keepers who are raw and not ready to play first team football.

Dean Brill keeps popping up again and again. Hopefully he keeps popping up for Hess!

Yeah but I would sign the Beast and rely on Flitney being good as he is a good keeper from what I have seen,

I'm by no means up on my Scottish football at all. If anything I get peeved it gets more coverage than the Championship, League 1 & 2. But don't Aberdeen get into the Europa League or was that a bygone era? Just saying the lure of european football is big.

Everyone seems to forget that he has played just 15 competitive games in the last 5 years. Nobody could really take him seriously and he has gone where goalkeeping is a comedy act. When he was with Gills Brown was fat but a decent goalie. Now he is fat and quite rich which probably makes him content and thinking he did the right thing. When he comes to explain his career to his grandchildren he might have second thoughts.

Actually I think he will tell the story to his grandchildren - he'll have to to explain the massive house they all live in, thanks to 5 years of Premiership wages, plus perhaps a couple of years of Scottish Prem wages!

"How did you earn all the money Grandad"

"Oh it was easy Billy I just sat on my backside for 7 years!"

Not the best story in the world

(I just imagine grandkids are called billy)

let be honest tho they prob have more money to offer than we did and due to a slight missunderstanding/unprefessional handling of the whole situation it was never gonna become a reality unless he was still going free towards the start of the season and just desperate for a club, i.e he dropped his wage demands cos no matter what you think it would have been a big drop for him to come here

all the best to him tho
