http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15695408.stm Quite surprised when I read this, but I think its a good idea, if he speaks English that is!
May not be as bad as it sounds, at present I have my Japanese daughter in law staying with me and I hate to admit it but she knows a lot more than me about European football than I do ( including some of the more obscure rules). Apart from anything about the mighty Saints that is. I had to listen to a full commentry ???? streamed of Japan beating Tajikistan 4-0 in a world cup qualifier this afternoon. Never heard of them so what do I know, I know one thing every time she is in England she loves her visits to St Marys
A few years back and foreign refs were much worse than British ones, but I think that's changed round now. Often when I watch foreign football or international matches, for a start, they don't add on 5 minutes automatically at the end of the game like nearly all UK refs do now regardless of stoppages in play or timewasting. Swear that's only come about because of the pressure Alex Ferguson puts on refs tapping his watch on the sidelines. As soon as a couple of Prem refs start adding on loads of time, they all do it.
Just noticed Tommy Forecast played for Bromley v Leyton Orient. He got lobbed...thought he was supposed to be 9 foot tall!
