Does he have to play? We are a man down in every game with him playing. He has no heart and very limited ability.

I'd have said he's definitely got the ability. He just hasn't got the application or the strength (of body or character)

I said this when we signed him. Good for the foreign leagues where they let you play but when you need a battler he aint one. He's soft as f*cking ****e.Wont head the ball cos it will ruffle his hair. Wont tackle, see comment further back and usually no end product.
The problem is he's one of Moysy's boys so he aint going unless he is sold. I hope so.

I personally don't mind him. I know I'm going against the grain here but he offers something nobody else in our squad does.

He's a creative player so he will give the ball away trying things. What doesn't help is the crowd getting on his back the first time he does.

His game is all about getting the ball in a tight spot beating a man and feeding the striker. He can't do this all the time. If he could he would not be on loan at sunderland. For me he is like watmore. Yes he will give the ball away but once or twice in a game something will come of it and if that leads to a goal then that is why he's in the team.

End of the day he is the only one we have who can do this. He needs players making runs off him which nobody seems willing to do. Is that his fault?

Who is your captain nowadays out of interest?

Agree with most of this but we are not able to have an artist in our team from the start.
Maybe use him as an impact sub in the later stages of the game - just a thought

A bit like Khazri who also, unlike Januzai, can actually deliver a decent corner kick. But Moyes seems not to have noticed. <whistle>

Yeah Khazri offers creativity through set pieces and crosses but isn't the type of player to beat a man really. Should definitely be getting used more than he is but for whatever reason Moyes doesn't trust him.

I just had a quick look at stats per 90 metrics.

    Adnan, Watmore, Borini and Khazri.

Khazri is clearly the most influential of the four when he plays, having the better stats going forward.

Adnan is probably best of the rest, going forward but predictably his defensive duties let him down, although surprisingly he has ok stats by comparison for tackling/being tackled.

Surely this means Khazri has to start? Perhaps he is not showing a good level of fitness or a bad attitude but his performances at least stat-wise suggest he shouldn't be being ignored.

Adnan is never going to offer you defensively what you want, similar to Martial here as we are finding out in Jose's system. Perhaps he's best to be dropped against teams like Spurs.

Januzai has been much better in the central role behind Defoe imo. so we could play both in the same team especially at home if we needed a goal late on.

Personally I think he has a lot to offer but is a victim of our erratic style of play as when we have possession our build up is slow and short allowing any defence to drop back and more often than not when the ball finally gets to him he is double marked. The long ball belted forward effectively cuts him out leaving him to try and chase back, once we get our midfield sorted his role behind the front attacker will give him more freedom.

He's definitely got the ability. He's just a **** who thinks he's too good for us. Not playing well enough for us at the moment, never mind Man U!

Can we pay Man U to take him back so we can get another loan in?

You have a good point there & it may be a solution but we have history of playing players out of position or isolated and we end up losers big style - passenger's in the team and ruin/disrupt a players career.
