As things have gone a little quiet on here I thought I’d see what if any transfer movements people would like to see happen at the town in Jan.

For me I don’t think we need to sign any more players apart from Andrews & Colins. We have a big squad and have players like Murphy, Carson, Healy, Martin and Prisken who can not even make the bench! If anything I would like us to sell Healy and Priskin as I can’t see either of them getting a game and sending Murphy back to Celtic as I would imagine we are paying a fair whack for his wages and he is not playing. If we were to sign anyone then a solid young keeper would be nice (due to the Stockdale loan issue) and any other lower league young gems in the Cresswell mould who PJ may be thinking about.

I want to see Danny Collins and Keith Andrews signed on permanent contracts and Sonko's contract extended to a 3 year deal. Sign Loache from Watford and Sell Leadboots, Priskin, Healy and Andy Drury.

I'd prefer Scott Loach to be honest or get promoted and buy Stockdale :)

Drury, Healy, Priskin, Smith, Murphy to go out or return on loan or be sold.

Keep Leadbitter. Bowyer may only play until the end of the season. Andrews might be here until January only. Jimmy has been injury prone.

The squad has come on leaps and bounds but the obvious fragility should not be overlooked.

Hope Norris gets a warm welcome tomorrow night!

I think we would be ok with the squad we have for the rest of the season but if we really want to improver there are still alot of players I think we need really. Definitely a GK, another RB(although we do have Wabbara on loan, it would be nice to get a permanent signing). Definitely sign up Collins and Andrews. I think we could do with at least 1 more winger preferably a left winger, especially as I think JET is wasted on the wing and should be used as a striker. I think it seems that priskins days are numbered so would like to see another striker who can play on the shoulder of the last defenders as if Chops gets injured I think without a suitable replacement the dynamics of our team could change. I think we could also perhaps do with a target man perhaps to be able to change it abit upfront if need be, the player upfront for Cardiff looked decent Gestede, someone in a similar mould to him would be good, someone to lead the line and do the dirty work. It would be good to try and inject a little more youth and pace into the team aswell, so if anymore players like Cresswell pop up, that would be great, do you think I'm be a little over ambitious??

As for those going out the only players I would like to definitely see us sell, would be Delaney, Healey and probably smith. I still think players like O'Connor, Peters and Priskin are decent back up. Send players like Hyam and Murray out on loan and send Murphy back if we get replacements in. As for Drury I think its a shame he hasn't been given more of a chance as everytime I've seen him he looks decent but to be fair he's got to get past alot more established players like Bullard, Bowyer, Andrews and Leadbitter, so it would be difficult to see him anything else than a bench warmer.

I think in Jan we might bring in a few youngsters that would not need to go straight into the starting line up.

    Interesting article.

Its obvious we'd like Collins + Andrews for longer.

Leadbitter we will have to see how he's playing.

Murphy - in my eyes the loan can be cancelled now - an absolute waste of wages !!

Lets see what both Martin + Carson are doing come Jan. Martin will be coming up to 1 year left on his deal, he's been very very unlucky so far this season however we have to see whats going on with him.

Carson really really has to sort himself out. Its obvious Jewell isn't happy with him. He WOULD benefit from loan, however with Carson being a prospect I'm not sure if im in favour of him being loaned out ! A decent side may be likely to offer something very low based on this, he has contract issues too.......

I'm always up for strengthening a squad, so if we need to add we will. Its obvious players need to go, I'd love Murray out on loan, Priskin gone, and other issues sorted out too !

I would love J Rodreguez off Burnley, and that central mid we were linked with off Millwall. I feel both could be achievable targets in Jan if we're flying and their struggling.

I think we can do alright this season,......

I'm with the Plumster, we need to bring in more youth for the future. We have a settled team at the moment, and if we can get Andrews and Collins signed up we don't really need to be bringing in more seniors who will be unhappy at not getting game time. We should already be talking to Sonko about extending his contract before people start to make him offers in January.
I'm all for improving the squad but if we are getting the right results with our current team then there's no need to rock the boat.
