We need an AM (Diame is poor) a striker and a winger. I have every faith Ashley will get his chequebook out in January. I'm not surprised early season form is erratic as we have a new team to gel. This will happen as the season progresses but we need the above three positions sorting pronto. In terms of outgoings we need to move on Tiote ASAP. Just my thoughts.
Our weak point is left back IMO. We either need to give more of our squad a chance there, such as Lazarr, or invest in January for a big hitter in that place.
Funny you should mention the need for a big hitter but I happen to be able to rearrange my diary from January if a certain Spaniard wants to get in touch.

I'd guess we'll not be replacing Diame after 5 months, probs hang onto him for the remainder of this season and sell him to a relegated Prem or top half Champ team next summer. He's currently a liability, but he'll have his good days. Tiote I'd say will be the same, leaving in the summer, though he's the more likely of the two to move on in Jan. I honestly doubt there will be much business done in January unless we've dropped to mid-table by that point. We'll be more of a pull to quality players next summer (assuming we get promoted) and Mike will hopefully feel vindicated and ready to spend. Of course, if Rafa thinks we need extra to go on a cup run, so be it
Na - we have got plenty of cover for this league if haidara is back soon. Yedlin and Anita have both played there before if it came down to it. I agree with the AM. Ideally we would have a bit better options up front also but in terms of numbers we are also ok.
I count seven players who have played at left back and could play there. Not a problem area in fairness.
Well I hadn't included him in the 7 but have just posted my thoughts about him on the Yedlin thread. He didn't even cross my mind in this topic, but my point is we have plenty of options at LB and don't need to sign anyone urgently.
I feel that the weakest part of the team is at left back. You say we've plenty options and don't need to sign anybody in January. I wonder what Rafa thinks, because on the whole, he's stuck with Dummett and not given his options much of a chance. It's early days, but from what we've seen so far, IMO left back needs a shake up.
Just play Lazaar left back and we will see if this Alan Judge arrived in Jan as rumoured. Goal scoring number 10 type
Those left backs won't arrive until we return to the PL. Hopefully Lazaar can be good and the two ****wits can fight over place in the 21's. Dummett will win by virtue of being slightly less ****
