Let's have a thread running for the upcoming New Tear rumour fest. I'll start it with this report...... http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...ham-to-go-head-to-head-to-sign-lazio-defender Do we really need another central defender?
Hope so given the knock down price Rovers paid - £300k was it? So, Rudy back in the Championship again next season then?
Here's WoL's 20 choices to consider: - http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-transfer-window-20-8301761 Some interesting ones to consider - a right mixture.
I've watched a lot of Matty Grimes (number 20) this season. Still young and has an absolutely cracking left foot. Ready for the Championship now I'm not sure but will certainly be good in the future.
Tom Lawrence was the stand out player for Rotherham the other week. We say this every December. The time for doing deals is now - get the target players lined up, the agent's wined and dined (all within FA regulations of course) and land the deals on January 1st. Leave it too late and 3-4 games are gone. Last season's efforts were a joke. 3 Norwegians, Zaha, Fabio & Cala I recall the January window 3 seasons ago. All Jones landed was Jon Parkin
Hmmm, traditionally not a good time for us then. But the little the beast did for us was more than Zaha, Berget and Eikrem combined.
Another one out the same way as Cala http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-magnus-wolff-eikrem-2153282.aspx
I wish him all the best. He did nothing to offend. Trouble was that's what he did - nothing!!! Good to see the wage bill declining - just Berget, Velikonja, Kiss and Burgstaller of the obvious ones still to go on a permanent basis.
Looks like a done deal http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-agree-deal-sell-8333301
Dean Cox from Orient is on his way apparently. The League 1 signings begin. Such a player is obviously a better bet than the international he has just sold.
I was expecting players with physicality. According to Wiki Cox is only 5 ft 4 ins ffs. Better make sure we keep the grass short. Although maybe he can use longer grass in which to hide and surprise the opposition. It worked for the ****arewe Tribe in the Olde Wilde West Show song. He did well for Orient last season but seems to have gone off the boil this year but then again the O's aren't having a good season. And neither are we!!! Anyway, if he comes we give him a chance and hope he can spark our midfield into life. I still think £2m for Daehli is a good deal for us. He did some good things (goal at West Brom and assist for KWJ at Fulham) but often flattered to deceive.
