A week is a long time in football.

Here we were last week fretting about Tiote/Colo/Krul departing to other clubs and worrying about getting a LB and striker .......then BANG!

Now we can only see benefits in being able to sign another couple of class defenders as well as the striker so badly needed.

As for selling, mark my words, the fat man only gets excited about selling when very large numbers are dangled, so on that score, we ain't letting anyone go cheaply.....which hopefully deters most clubs.

Also, why don't we swap players if clubs come knocking?

    Sturridge for Tiote?
    Defoe for Krul?
    More underground heating for Shola?
Carroll for Colo..........( just making sure your still awake!):emoticon-0105-wink:

I still find myself annoyed with Glen Foy for discovering Defoe but bever bringing him to Newcastle. He'd have been awesome with Santiago Munez and Gavin Harris.

But let's look at the real questions here - the perfect partnership for Santiago Munez?

You're joking right... That fickle bastard Munez jumped ship at the first opportunity. We disovered him, take him from poverty, make him rich and famous and how does he repay us? By buggering off to Madrid. Mind at least he took that plank Harris with him too.

Firstly, I'm not hoping we losing any of them , but IF we were to swap, then the first rule of barter is to get what YOU want out of it.

So if they've got something we'd like ( like Sturridge) then that's what we demand.

In my view each of Colo/Krul/Tiote are £20 million players......wasn't Sturridge on LOAN last year? Yes, he's ok but not exactly RVP/Aguero.

Im just a harsh man :D

Sturridge is probably the best young striker in the prem and the only in form striker at Chelsea. No chance they would let him go in a swap deal.
