He seemed fairly confident, but it wouldn't be the first time a club exec talked up the plus points of a deal, of which it is already a 3 fold increase on an investment in a year regardless of what happens.

He seems to be suggesting that they can only trigger the clause in the same league, and also have to match any higher bids on the table at the time, so it would seem we've protected ourselves reasonably well.

As always, 85% of where and when he goes next will be down to the player.

But no one else of his other summer loan suitors slapped 5m on the table and worst case will get a 10 profit in summer.

    That's still phenomenal business.

I think if we go up he will stay, clubs will have the benefit of seeing how he performs until Jan in the prem before having to spend the cash. The biggest risk to us losing him ( without stating the obvious ) is us staying down and FFP

Philogene going for stupid money is phenomenal business for the club. In the period without him, I think we showed just how one-dimensional we are and this would allow us to spend big money on a replacement and a striker too.

Now we've got a clear way of playing recruitment has become more successful too, so I wouldn't be massively concerned about replacing him (not that he's not an unbelievable player)

The offer on a buy back clause has to be accepted. The player is under no obligation to leave and it’s probably wrong to assume that Jaden would abandon ship at the first sign of a PL team. He *might*, but it’s all up to him.

Let's face it, it's why we signed him, to cash in and recycle the money to do it again.

Greaves is 100% ready. I hope we get a chunky sell on clause because whoever buys him will be selling him again in a few years for a lot of money.

I think he’s good enough for Brighton, Wolves, West Ham, Fulham, Bournemouth, Everton, Brentford and all teams below. Hell after watching Chelsea on many occasions I don’t think he’d be far off playing for them either

Hopefully we learned from the Maguire sale and insist on a decent sell on % for either.

Maybe, if we sold him to a bigger PL club you’d hope for a loan back clause if we weren’t in the Championship.

Could be on for big money this summer if we sell Greaves and Philogene. Definitely don’t want to, it would be an insane risk, but the amount we could demand for two young English talents does make you wonder.

100%.. anything less we’ve been robbed.

Greaves, 22, 200+ apps, goal scoring now. Imperious in the air, left pegged. Can do both sides of the game. £25m minimum imo…

Philogene mercurial talent but think there’s plenty on offer at our level for now. Clarke, Summerville, Rowe, Philogene, Whittaker. They’re all performing at top level. Teams won’t overpay for Philogene. Greaves on the other hand I think they’ll be a lot of suitors. He’s our most prem ready player.

I don't think we have a chance of seeing £25m for greaves unfortunately. I think hell go for around £15m max if there's a couple of teams interested. Unfortunately defenders just don't bring you as much
