Ryan Woods gone. That does leave a vacancy for a ginger though. We do well with at least one on the team, preferably Irish and a bit of an attitude (Quinn, McShane)
I wonder how or of this will affect our new found relationship with Liverpool... "Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp shocked the football world last week by announcing he will leave the club at the end of the season. He will also be followed by sporting director Jorg Schmadtke and his technical staff, meaning the Liverpool owners have a whole new setup to decide and implement ahead of the summer."
Don’t know about other clubs transfer windows but Surely we are going to destroy some teams with our attack. If it goes well we may have ticket touts outside the Kcom for the hottest ticket in town.
On paper this has been excellent. Seri to come back too. Finally have some options (& quality) on the bench.
I’m guessing it’ll be Scott Twine who’ll be feeling silly, imagine missing out on playing alongside the quality we’ve brought in, that’s obviously if he could make the starting eleven now!
I’ll be panicking about the Zaroury deal until it’s officially announced. Seems Burnley are in breach of Premier league rules on their number of loanees out
. An in-depth look into the career into our new winter recruit, Abdülkadir Ömür… Born in Çarşıbaşı, a municipality and district of Trabzon Province in Türkiye, Ömür was scouted by Trabzonspor and was given trial fixtures before signing for their youth teams in 2011. Progressing through the club’s academy system, the now 24-year-old made his first team debut on 12 January 2016 in the group stages of the Türkiye Kupasi, replacing Soner Aydoğdu in the 65th minute in a 4-1 victory over Adanaspor. Making his debut in a club European competition in a 2-2 draw against Sparta Prague. Helping the club advance to the next round, Ömür registered an assist in the qualifying round first leg tie away at AEK Athens in a 3-1 win. After progressing to the group stage of the prestigious competition, the attacking midfielder’s season was disrupted due to a serious meniscus tear. Featuring 21 times in all competitions that saw four goals, his most important finish of the season came in the Türkiye Kupasi final. After featuring in both semi-final victories over Fenerbahce, Ömür scored the opening goal in a 2-0 win over Alanyaspor to secure the silverware. Two goals and three assists in 23 Süper Lig outings came in 2020/21 before featuring 38 times in all competitions the following campaign. Netting seven goals and registering four assists in 33 league appearances, Ömür was a key player in winning the Turkish Süper Lig title for Trabzonspor, with the 24-year-old being named captain in two league outings. In those two specific fixtures, the attacking midfielder scored in both games, one against Gaziantep FK and the other against Caykur Rizespor. Assisting in the UEFA Champions League qualification first leg fixture against FC Copenhagen, Ömür made his most appearances in a singular season at club level, featuring 41 times, scoring three goals and registering three assists, winning the TFF Süper Cup. The attacking midfielder also featured against the Tigers in a mid-season friendly at the Regnum Carya, playing the entire first half in the 1-1 draw and assisting for Trabzonspor's finish. Internationally, the attacking midfielder earned his first cap for his country on Christmas Day 2012 at Under-14s level. Earning two caps at that level and seven times at Under-15s, Ömür captained the Under-16s three times in his 12 appearances, scoring his first international goal in a 2-0 win over Belgium. Being captain 11 times in 12 appearances for the Under-17s, which also saw him net against Slovenia in the UEFA European qualifiers, the 24-year-old featured four times at Under-18s level and 15 times for the Under-19s, scoring as captain against Slovakia. Featuring for the Under-19s at the 2018 European Championship, in which Ömür assisted against England in a narrow 3-2 defeat, the attacking midfielder has featured seven times at Under-21s level. His first senior cap came in a 2-1 international friendly win against Greece on 30 May 2019. Registering an assist on his fifth cap in the 94th minute in a dramatic 3-3 draw against Germany, a game that saw current Tiger Ozan Tufan score in, Ömür has featured 12 times at senior level for his country, registering two assists.
From July, teams may only have a maximum of seven players loaned in and seven loaned out at one time – down from eight last season. It will fall to six next summer, although under-21s and club-trained players are exempt Devil may be in the detail...
I just got 26/1 on 365 Sweden. All these blonde's have no clue about the 18 match win run we are about to smash
I do wonder if we are trying for a centre half now. With Smith going out it did look like we were leaving ourselves short. If Chambers isn't happening have we got someone else lined up?
Club-trained players are those who spent at least three years between the ages of 15 and 21 years in their club of employment (seasons of their 15th and 21st birthdays included).
