maybe its the budget they have for the required player.

do scouts get told what value we will pay when told to look for players?
 
pah blame the scouts my arse... rodgers is the man who tells them precisely what he wants.

they report back and committee can believe them or not, in short they can get their own judgement out and use it. if the committe agrees m'villa is a nutbar and he's not for them thats thier issue.

Would definitely take De Jong. Experience, won the title, nutter and would add some much needed bite to our midfield.

Surely a loan deal would make sense? We don't have to splash out if prices are inflated, just bolster our midfield as we're short on options! De Jong, Javi Garcia, Song.. Anyone!
