An all Manchester derby will be getting all the pundits and media darlings all wet and juicy but I'm sure there will be a surprise or two to come yet. Common sense would dictate that we wont beat Man Utd over 2 legs but then when did common sense and football ever go hand in hand. 2 months ago, a pub team would have beaten us but as Poyets style and doctrine are growing within the team, I fancy us to give you a right old run for your money in 3 weeks time.

We are still massive underdogs but Man Utd have a much weaker defense these days and a midfield still heavily reliable at times for a 40 year old Ryan Giggs. Attacking wise, Rooney and RVP are as good as it gets but I'm not sure if Moyes has worked out how to fit it all together just yet and its that fragility around the manager that we have to exploit. I get a real sense that not all Utd fans have bought into the Moyes project and if we can open up a chasm then who knows.

I'm just excited that we have made a semi final given our hapless start to this season and hopefully our league results will improve with our cup run. Bring it on mate and may the best team take the spoils.

For me I would do the following:

Sign Ki and then try and get Ashley Young from Utd on loan. Moyes does not seem to rate him and he is just what we need a quick winger with an eye for goal.

As I keep saying I would rather sign 1 or 2 quality players than loads of average ones.
