Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ... not bad in his prime but even then nowhere near as good as he thought he was ... can you imagine the piss taking from our lot? ... they'd be buying him a Colin The Caterpillar Cake from M$S on his birthday
Wouldnt touch him with a bargepole Lazy bastard with a massive ego to boot. Plus he wouldnt get a game with Kante about
... who knows... but the lad drives a fookin' mini cooper and was waving his Leicester City flag with some aplomb tonight ... his team mates have described him as the most humble footballer they have ever met ... the Press can spout their bollox all they like... but I will not be surprised if it is just that and this wonderful little player is strutting his stuff with us in the Champions League next season ... bloody well hope so..
The guy that had a mardy fit when he didn't get a cake for his birthday and spent this whole season with his thumb up his arse waiting to bugger off? Nah.
Steve Walsh has proven he can find hidden gems to chasing the big names Only big name we have ever chased is Esteban Cambiasso and that worked out superb but lets keep looking for the Vardy's, Mahrez's, Kante's and Knockaert's of this world
Would say Inler is a big name - I remember being astounded that a player of his quality would join us but he didn't get a look in.
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...ie-Vardy-under-legendary-Claudio-Ranieri.html Italian striker Lapadula also targeted by Juve. Most teams who had won the premier league and are in the champs league, I'm sure their fans would be against signing a second division Italian but with Walsh I'd feel another Kante/Mahrez. Shame he isn't a couple of years younger though, I feel we don't have many out and out youngsters
I'd think that we would be getting a few more youngsters in if we'd finished lower down the table, but we haveto take advantage of our status in the champions league to get some more talented players this year imo. I don't mean overpaid mercs like Toure or Ibra, i mean targets that Walsh really wants but would have dismissed because they would be looking for Champions league football. If we can dangle that carrot under Washys highest targets, maybe they will come here, even if its just for a season or 2. Theres no club more suited to players that want a stage to prove themselves with the amount of eyes that will be on us next season. I think some young players will come in, that can learn from some of the experience we will bring in / already have, we already bought in Gray and the Danish u21 goalkeeper and we've apparently been after Dragovic for a while, whos still relatively young for a defender. Lets hope hes strong enough not to be manipulated by his agent.
Arsenal look like they are going to sign the brilliantly named Granit Xhaka - if they do then I can't see them being after Kante or if they are then can't see him leaving us to be second choice DM behind him.
Don't say that to Tottenham fans! True though, I suppose if we keep everyone, our midfield of Albrighton Drinky Kante and Mahrez are all around 25/26 so in their prime. Schmeichel is similar and Simpson, Fuchs is in his prime and this Italian lad and Vardy. The only real area we might need to look at is centre back
some papers saying he'd be interested in us, though they are terrible papers http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...ie-Vardy-under-legendary-Claudio-Ranieri.html
Claudio Ranieri wants to bring £15m-rated Ajax striker Arkadiusz Milik to Leicester. The 22-year-old has scored 47 times in 76 appearances for his club. (Daily Mirror)
Someone else that we were linked with previously. Is interesting that we aren't linked with Musa any more - he has all but announced that he is leaving CSKA http://dailypost.ng/2016/04/17/ahmed-musa-set-to-quit-cska-moscow/
Arsenal are on the verge of signing defensive midfielder Granit Xhaka for £30M so that should put the N'Golo Kante to Arsenal talk to bed. We just need to stop the rest of the world from wanting him
I'm not too worried about the Kante saga. There aren't any quotes from him or anyone at Arsenal, seems like journalists assuming a potential transfer then will claim "you heard it here first" if it actually happens.
