Man U are apparently looking to offer £40M and Jesse Lingard for Maddison.

We'd definitely take that offer seriously <laugh>

Add Benkovic to the inured list and the need for a new centre back has increased substantially.

What has happened to Daniel Amartey - would solve our CB issue imo. He was on the bench against Luton in the EFL but then nothing.

We are linked with Milan AM Hakan Calhanoglu again - we seem to be linked with every half decent Turkish player atm.

Demiral went off injured for Juve yesterday and they've today confirmed cruciate ligament damage, ruling him out for the rest of the season. Ending our option of pursuing him this window.

George Thomas has gone on loan to a Dutch side.

Islam Slimani has been linked with a switch to Villa on loan, who is currently on a loan deal with AS Monaco where he has scored 7 goals this season he has 7 assists to his name so far this season.

Islam Slimani scored 13 times in 46 games for Leicester following a £28million move from Sporting Lisbon in 2016.

I must admit I quite liked him as he gave us something different up front when plan A wasn’t working.

Same. I thought there was a top player in there, just we didn’t adjust to his game when he came on and people were suprised he couldn’t play the Maddison role behjnd vardy...

Its supposed to be a loan deal so having him play in the Prem could be advantageous to us. He gets more time to adjust whilst hopefully doing well against our rivals.

Yes but I think his contract runs out in the summer....then bye bye on a free!

When you see all these strikers that other clubs have brought in have that have ended up 2-4 goals in a season in the Premiership!

He didn't do badly with 13 goals. Would have liked to have him back at LCFC to have got some value for our money.

Rodgers says its too complicated to do the deal so that story is dead.

What the hell do we need a 31 year old striker for? Rather bring in a younger player to develope!

We have one in Ịheanachọ - having someone with experience who can mentor him is always good to have.

We are linked with Bertrand Traore again - on loan with a buyout clause which should suit everyone.

We are linked with Bristol City CM Josh Brownhill who apparently has a £7m release fee - last guy we got from the championship was half decent.

Chilwell to Chelsea has really picked up steam - apparently is a Chelsea supporter and would be up for a move if they can meet our valuation of him.

They won't get close in this window imo, it took months for Man U to get near our value for Maguire, no way Chelsea will come anywhere near what we want in a week.

Can't see it happening myself but they are owned by a billionaire with more money then sense.

Benkovic is wanted by Derby on loan and Slimani is wanted by Spurs.

Tidy CB with PL experience, Wolves fans seem confused as to why

Guess this will allow Benko to get minutes elsewhere <ok>

I seriously don't understand the Benkovic situation. I thought that he was originally supposed to be a better prospect than Soyuncu. He got rave reviews at Celtic - yes I know that's not the strongest league in the world - but hasn't even been seen as good enough to displace Wes on the bench? And now we have a Wolves reserve who is perceived as being better than him?

I guess Benko has had more game time in the U23s, Wes as 3rd choice CB doesn't really get any competitive game time.

To ideally develop Benkovic properly, he needs full 90 minute competitive matches. Hes in the position Soyuncu was last year, who was rarely on the bench either.

This is also the reason i think he'll be loaned to the club that will guarantee him the most game time.

Is coming off a major injury and is getting some niggling ones so needs game time to get back on track - won't get it here so is best to send him somewhere where he will.

Bennett is an interesting signing - is at his best playing in a back 3 and is strong in the air. Apparently we have an option to get him for £5m and an obligation to after a certain number of games.
