From the Evening Post: Bristol City are one of the sides tracking Panathinaikos midfielder Robin Lod, according to sources in Belgium. DH.be report that the Finland international's contract expires next season and he has already rejected a new deal from the Greek club who risk losing him on the cheap. England could be his next destination with the Robins thought to be keeping tabs on the 24-year-old central midfielder while Belgian side Standard Liege are also in the hunt http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/bristol-city-transfer-news-lee-761614
Christmas lights switched on already! January transfer window in the news ... these rumours sometimes upset existing players!
Appreciate Cardiff wasn't the game to bring Vyner in, but if he doesn't start being playing soon, with Eros out for 3/4 months I think we need a right back.
The Championship is brutal - Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday-Tuesday - so far our depth of squad has meant that we can rotate. Some long-term injuries mean that reinforcements are needed.
Agreed , as my previous post a full back, also midfield & a striker . Downside of this approach is it often can take a while for any addition to settle in, & also don't want to disrupt the obvious harmony presently amongst the squad.
Downside can also mean that come the end of January when all these long terms return you’ve got an over inflated squad. Like we had at the end and going forward from our last tilt at playoffs that cost us in the end.
On the other hand if we do nothing and we get more injuries we could be in dire straights , there is also an argument that even without our long term injuries to continue our push for promotion we need a few quality additions to our squad , some would argue our failure to do this last time was the reason we were not successful.
Bristol City are one of the clubs keeping tabs on Birmingham City midfielder Maikel Kieftenbeld. http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/bristol-city-linked-january-move-805395
