So have Everton actually signed no-one? But sold Gordon? I'm seeing that Southampton, Leeds, Bournemouth and Forest have strengthened pretty well and they were i think the other teams most likely to go down (I don't see West Ham or Leicester actually being in the mix for it and Wolves have quite a bit about them). Are Everton actually stuffed?
Everton's team isn't actually that bad player for player. Dyche could be the best bit of business out of all the teams in the relegation battle. I think they'll be safe. Southampton and Bournemouth look gone. Very poor teams and managers. Could be one of about 6 to fill that last place.
I think their back line and keeper are good enough for mid-table or at least 11-14th. My issue is that they have about 1 good midfielder (Onana) and I don't really see where the goals are coming from. Think most defences would back themselves to contain Gray, Iwobi and DLC. Not convinced by Gordon but at least he's unpredictable and they really missed out on Djanuma (or whatever he's called).
Yep, confirmed. They've signed Fernandez on a contract until 2031. So it costs them just over £13m in this FFP year.
Also, can't Chelsea only make 3 changes to their Champions League squad? They've signed like 8 players this window.
Pretty happy with our business ... Albrighton and Perez out on loan ... new left back, right winger and a 6ft 6" centre back incoming ... also signed a 21year old Ghanaian striker from US college football (apparently the season's "MVP") that we've sent straight out on loan to our Belgian sister club to gain experience ... Couldn't offload Soyuncu to Athleti because they would have fallen foul of FFP rules ... which begs the question of how the **** are Chelsea navigating around the rules with all their purchases in this window?
Roman was a one off. When he left Chelsea went bust and CFC gave up football. It's just a bad dream, go back to sleep.
I respect the fact that you boys have spent more in each of the last two windows than we have in total in the three windows since we were bought out. That's pretty impressive. According to most people I speak to Newcastle are third "because we've spent". You guys should be amazing in the coming years then!
I think they're OK with that, mud at a wall. Take a player like Badiashile. Even if he's average they will be able to sell him for 15-20 million anyway in a year or two so they're only gambling 10m really. They'll probably loan him a couple of times for a few million each go first too. The only real risks are Mudryk and Fernandez and the first of those is almost certainly excellent.
Both contracts end this season. And As Tel said, who the **** would want any of them anyway. Maybe if you wanted some company in the physio room, other than that they have zero appeal
