'Rested' by Villa. On the way out to a bigger club, no doubt! Another way of saying Bent...'crooked'. Never liked his play... too many easy misses, though did okay for us. One-on-one he was useless.

I'd still have now. He was excellent for us and goals get you points.

The more I see of Fletch, the mpre I think he is suited to a lone striker role, what we need to do is get the midfield in a better shape to support him, and give him an outball when he holds the ball up.

I think AJ will provide this support when up to speed, fitness wise, and that will geive Sess a bit more freedom, which can only be a good thing.

Fletcher is a better footballer than Bent, and who's to say he won't match his goals output for us, he's well on course to do so.

I'm not concerned at this stage that Fletch has scored all the goals, as I do think other lads will start to get them as they hit form, it's not the same as when we looked for Bent everytime cos he was all we had.

The off-form McLean has 3 for the season in the cups of course, and when the whole team is fit and playing together, he will get more space in the league, I'm backing him to get 6-8, Gardner will get a few once Bardo is back and Gardner fills the problem role in CM, and Seb will ALWAYS get 5+.

Fletcher has 5 goals in spite of the team not playing well, and not always looking for him at every attempt, Bent would not have 5 in this team this season, no way would he.

It never affected us mate, was about 70km away, was Malaga itself that got hit, although we were put on a red storm warning.

Some small villages inland had problems, and there were 7 deaths I think, but we were ok here in Marbella.

I don't own a bar mate, just run events at a few from La Cala to Marbs, sometimes just DJing, sometimes the whole hog, done a few great outdoor events over summer and that's what we're looking at doing more next year.

Around Marbella port, where your talking about, we do a few things at Cafe del Sol & Oh Yoko, both very prominent bars, Del Sol is line one beach and port view, and Yoko is a 7am licensed place where people purely come to get on it, buzzing little place, we do a lot towards La Cala as there is a big , but not overpowering ex-pat community between there and Elviria (where I live), in the right age group for us, so we are always pretty packed out when we hit the bars up there.

Doing a few boat events in Ibiza next year, which is really exciting, obviously Ibiza is where you wanna be in this game, and I have my own prime time Saturday night radio show now on Beat FM, which is one of the biggest stations on the Costa del Sol, all very enjoyable!

Give me a shout if you head over again and I'll tell you what we're up to that weekend, there's always a free beer or 8 in it for any fellow Mackem visitors!
