A host of clubs expressed an interest in doing a deal to take him on loan. A lack of fitness on arrival and the improved form of the team in recent weeks are factors that have combined to restrict White’s involvement to three starts and six apperances from the bench. Conference South outfit Sutton United reported to have had a bid to take the striker on loan rebuffed last week. Clarke said that a number of other clubs had made informal enquiries regarding White’s availability over recent weeks, but he confirmed:
“Jamie won’t be going anywhere. He is working hard to get into my team and I am not in a position to be loaning out my expereinced players because we haven’t got a big squad. There are some very good players who have yet to really have a sustained opportunity to show me what they can do this season and Jamie is one that falls into that category. People keep asking me why Jamie hasn’t been playing, but, the simple fact of the matter is, we have had a good run of results, so it has been hard for me to change things around. It is up to those boys to keep training hard in order to take any opportunity that comes along because they often come along at unexpected times and they have to be ready. Sometimes it takes players that little bit longer than others to settle in, but Jamie is a confident lad and when the time is right to hand him an opportunity I know he has the ability to take it.”

But to loan Brunt out was a stoke of genius I suppose? As far as I can seen White is a passenger that is a luxury we can't afford. Get Brunt back and loan out White. Brunt is twice the player than White which is why he got loaned out to a L2 side and lower non league sides are asking for White. DC needs to get his head out of his arse.

It's a squad game and I think White will get a run eventually. Brunt is also getting games at York even if he isn't getting any goals... the new manager will probably decide whether he wants Brunt or not, so he probably needs to start scoring soon otherwise he'll be on his way back...

White may well get a run eventually, but it's absolutely evident that we are struggling to finish numerous opportunities created and that has cost us points and places.

I like Taylor's effort and some of his link up play, but he just can't score at the moment. Give White a chance now - and Ellis. We can't afford to drift further away from Barnet.
